Just a quick update about the results of Infectious Deisease and Pulmonologist's reports. They both agree that the lung should not be touched for a while and that they would continue to watch it. That was quite the surprise to us as we had been preparing ourselves for the partial lung removal based on what the doctors had been telling us. They said the lung does not appear to be any worse and the Pulmonologist said based on the fact that lung tissue continues to grow until you are about eight (8) years old he wants to wait and see what happens over a period of time which could be as much as a year. There is always the chance that more infections or pneumonia type illnesses could occur at which point that could change their thoughts. But for now we are not going to have to put Adam through any surgery. He also got the results back from a blood test that tracks the levels with regard to the aspergillus. This is the nasty fungal lung infection that he has been battling since last July. Adam was given a 50-50 chance to beat the aspergillus and the results show the levels are back to normal and we will be stopping that medicine in six (6) days. That is his last oral medicine that he has been taking. No more medicine with the exception of his breathing treatments twice a day. We will be removng his Mic-key in six (6) days also. So no more tubes attached to his body. He is really excited about that as are we.
Adam had a great time this past Thursday through Sunday at a camp for kids called Camp Debbie Lou. It is in South Carolina and our whole family got to go. It is a beautiful camp located on a ranch that a familiy has made in to this great place for kids with cancer. Everyone got to ride go carts, go fishing, ride horses, ride bumper boats, do arts and crafts, go swimming, do archery, and just be kid in a terrific enviroment with a few other families that are going through a lot of the same things we are. The family members that started it and the volunteers that were there we so wonderful. We all hated for it to end but we look forward to staying in touch with a lot of them now that we are home. We could not have asked for a better weekend. So thanks to the Debbi Lou crowd. Adam, Austin, and Alyssa miss you. We will continue to keep everyone up to date with up coming tests and scans.

Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers.

Mike, Sharon, Austin, Adam, and Alyssa
