Abby's Journey began April 12, 2006, when she was admitted to Childrens Hospital in Minneapolis, diagnosed with Stage IV Neuroblastoma, N-MYC amplified, unfavorable histology. She reached official NED status on Sept. 18, 2006 (on her 5th birthday). Her next round of tests will be July 2008.

Sunday, June 8 – “Alex’s Lemonade Stand” at the Mall of America!!!

Abby will proudly be selling ‘1 cup at a time’ from about . We would love to see you there!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Weekend.

We would like to wish all you wonderful fathers a very “Happy Father’s Day”!

Again, we have been busy living life – what a wonderful thing! Abby is still busy – she has graduated from Kindergarten at Primrose, this was very emotional for us and for the wonderful people at Primrose that have really grown attached to Abby. Today is her last day at Primrose. This is a bitter/sweet day for us. She has finished her Spanish Kindergarten also. The Kindergarten classes did a very impressive Spanish concert and dance (2 separate events). So, summer is officially here! She will go to a YMCA summer program where they will get to go to the zoos, Twins games, Saints games, Valley Fair, and many pools over the next few months. She is very excited as a few of her friends are going as well. She finished swimming lessons. T-ball is going very well. She scores a few runs every inning (as do all the kids at this age). Soccer is going well too. Although Abby said her legs get tired by the end of the game. She has scored 2 goals this season. She was very proud of herself (as she should be). She has lost her 3rd tooth (the nice checkerboard look).

Primrose (Abby’s school/daycare) has been wonderful. They were extremely supportive and flexible when Abby started there a year ago April (straight out of treatment). Every spring they hold a Family Fun Health Festival. Half of the proceeds go to a charity of their choice. Last year they raised $500 dollars for the Ronald McDonald House of MN (in Abby’s honor). This year they chose the Band Of Parents. They raised nearly $1000!! We can’t thank Primrose enough for this and for everything they have done. We will miss you guys!!

It’s hard to believe that we are headed back to NY in about a month. This will be a very anxious time for us, as these scans mark Abby’s 1 year post treatment mark. Please pray that Abby stay NED forever, and that all kids battling cancer or any serious illness live long healthy lives.
