About time I got back to say hello and update this journal! Almost two weeks since the last one, but I have been traveling. I asked E. to chime in here, but she feels I am doing a good job and is not feeling ready to write yet, so... here I am. First off: Eleanor is doing very well. She seems to be taking to this new regimen of chemo (one week on, one week off) and has also been diligent about diet and exercise and trying some new supplements (mushroom extract, anyone?) and generally comin' around. We visit Mayo for the fingernail-biting at the end of this month. But, as Dr. Uhm says, Eleanor doesn't 'look like a patient' (she looks great!) so I feel confident. Let's just say sayonara to cancer for good, okay? Okay. I know she plans to get back to work very soon, and that should make her radio fans happy. Also, her beloved horse-showing season has begun and that makes HER happy! All in all, I must say, a happy day today: I'm glad to be home (I was in China last week, during the earthquake) and we both were reading these letters from guests here last night and smiling. I hope that was a fulsome and satisfying update! Thanks, all.
