Hi everybody!!,
Just a quick update...
My youngest sister {6 years younger} is having back surgery. {man, enough with surgerys this year!!} She is doing well but, walking into Swedish Hospital again was hard for me. This is where Dr. Gold told me that the only thing they could do for me is repeated surgerys until I die. He said that Dr. Sugarbaker would give me a pie in the sky speech. {By the way, pie in the sky means utterly useless} Alot he knew!!! I'm glad I fought so hard to get to Dr. Sugarbaker. Even then I was told I'd never get to Dr. Sugarbaker...How wrong they were.
I just got off the phone with Ilse {Dr. Sugarbakers wife and RN} at lunch. I had called Ilse about some lingering surgery issues from the 4 surgery I had this year and found out what my tumor markers were before and after my MOAS.
My Ca 19.9 in Febuary was 1,100
now it's 31.
My CEA in Febuary was 205.
now it's 2.6
WOOHOO!!! Let's hope they stay that way.
Cheerio!
