I have some great news!! Most of you all know back in June Rob and I went to DC to participate in Reach The Day, an annual event sponsored by curesearch to ask of congress for additional funds to research pediatric cancers. This year the Carolyn Pryce Walker conquer childhood cancer act was introduced. It past the House of Rep. with a vote of 416-0! Yay. Then when we met with our congressional appointments in June we were asking that they also take this act to Congress to be voted upon...... Well last night we got the official word... Late yesterday afternoon, it was voted upon and passed UNANIMOUSLY!!Next step Presidents desk to be signed. This is huge! This paves the way for congress to set aside money for Childhood cancer research. I feel like we are taking strides forward to stamp out childhood cancer. Ashlyne, John Eric and so many other cancer angels were looking down and smiling on us!
