Journal

Hello! I have been really bad! No entry for over a year! Who would have thought it possible! All is well!

Sebastian is down to trips to St. Jude every six months and this last trip I did the impossible…stayed home! I turned over the visit to Jordi and tried not to back seat drive to much (okay, I did call ahead to talk to the nurses before most of their appointments, but I was otherwise pretty good). Their visit went great…all systems are still go.

Sebastain is six now…wow. He is at Montessori and reading, writing in cursive and generally thriving. The immensity of his miracle is lost on most people he passes on a daily basis, which is the way it should be…he is living a “normal life”, whatever that means : ) Sebastian loves riding his bike (training wheels have been off for a while), riding his scooter at the skateboard park and is taking gymnastics classes still. His main love is cats…all shapes and sizes, but preferably the cute ones! He continues to be “married” to his wife, Zelly…they are going on two years now. Xavier wants nothing to do with girls at age 10, but Sebastian will frequently bring up the importance of “really” getting married someday, “so the family can continue on.” I know they will both make great fathers someday.

But for now, we are trying our best to manage family life…school, activities, friends…trying to cram in all the lessons and fun we possibly can to their childhoods, that at times seem to fly by.

Wishing you all the best…and hoping that you find your miracle, whatever it may be, as we have…over and over again!
