Once again it seems like forever since I have posted. Overall Makenzie is doing good. She managed to catch a little bug a few weeks ago that landed her on IV fluids for about a week and had to get a scope and biopsies--but we were able to do that here instead of having to go to Pittsburgh this time. Seems it was just a virus of some sort that she is now over. Since I last posted Makenzie has started and finished her second season of fast-pitch softball. Here is a little video clip of one of her hits--she got the game ball this game---these girls are serious about playing ball....

Here she is with her coaches all acting like a bunch of nuts...

We also went to visit our cousins in WV that have a horse that just had a baby--anyone that knows Makenzie knows that horses are her passion--so she thought this was fantastic...

Here she is with two of her cousins, Michael and Nicholas...

She also had her end of the year piano recital--she did really good. I am not sure that she LOVES piano--but I do hope it is something she will continue....

She also got to go fishing last weekend with alot of the people from church--she caught her first bass...

That was all fun until a 6 foot black snake slithered down beside us and then into a bush and ate a nest of baby birds--we were pretty much done after that. I guess the biggest news is that Makenzie is now a second-grader. She finished up her first grade year with Field Day...

We are so going to miss Mrs. Stevens. We cant say thank you enough for the wonderful year she has given Makenzie. I would keep her with us forever if I could...

And also big thank you to Ms. Elaine who is at school for her when she needs help but makes it possible for Makenzie to do all things normal...

I guess that is about it for now. We are leaving for Nashville next week to go visit some friends. Ill post more about that trip after we get back. Hopefully she will stay well for this--seems she always manages to catch something when we are on vacation--we will see. Thank you all for always checking in on us....
