Our Angel Amanda Leigh Ellis Amanda was diagnosed on November 15, 2002, at the age of 5 months with accute lymphocytic leukemia. She was in remission, and after 16 months of chemo, Amanda relapsed. We tried many things to get Amanda back in remission. She fought a hard fight, and earned her angel wings on January 5, 2005.

Saturday, May 24, 2008 10:59 AM CDT WEll, I am here to update. Sorry. I get so busy and forget to update. Matt and Josh are getting ready for summer!! This is the last week of school coming up. Amanda would be six in a couple of weeks. Most days, weeks, and months are good. Every once in a while, it just hits me how much I miss her and her little arms around my neck. There are so many nights that I have just remembered being in the hospital and wanting her to go to sleep and her not wanting to. How I took those times for granted and there are two songs that played have played on the radio lately. They are both by Steven Curtis Chapman, "Miracle of the Moment" and "Cinderella". I have heard both of these over and over and over again, and still can't get through "Cinderella". I never got to watch her grow up, but she was my Cinderella and the clock struck, and she was gone. Just remember to love your kids and take each moment, because those moments will be gone.
On to other things...Chris was in California for a week, with our Pastor, and had a good time. I am so glad he is back. I missed him so much.
I do have a facebook page, that I am much better at keeping up with...just look for me...cheryl ellis in appomattox, va
If anyone is still checking for updates, thank you. It is still hard to keep up with all the friends that we have made. I do pray for each of you guys.
Take care... Cheryl
