Our Super William

Please Sign Guestbook!

William is now 5 years old and was Dx with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (A.L.L.).July 2, 2004.
Will is Finished with Chemo and his port removed.

A.L.L. is a cancer that involves the blood-forming tissue of the bone marrow, spleen and lymph nodes. The bone marrow controls the production of normal blood cells. In leukemia the normal production of blood cells breaks down. The bone marrow starts producing large numbers of abnormal white cells. These abnormal, immature cells, called lymphoblasts or blasts, crowd out other blood cells in the bone marrow, blood stream and lymph system. The cancerous cells can also invade other organs such as the spinal cord, brain and testicles, according to The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. We have created this site to keep friends and family informed of Williams progress.

Hello,
Will is almost 6 years old! Can you believe it? He finished Chemo in August, over three years worth.... He also had his Port-a-cath removed in December. He was very reluctant to give it up, he loved the port!!!
He has had several check ups at M.D. Anderson and Dr. Rytting says that Will is doing great. Other than being a "little" spoiled, he is a "normal" 5 year old boy. He loves to camp, race quads, fish, ride his bike and fight with little brother...
Will is doing well in Kindergarten and gets great reports. I just wish he behaved at home as well as his teacher says he does at school...But, oh well. We can deal with that. Better than the other way around! He really is a joy to be around.

We'd like to thank everyone for all the prayers and support that we have received over the past 3 years. Thank you all so much!
We know that this will forever change our lives and we have learned so much about life, faith, God's power, and the love of strangers and friends alike. We will never view the world the same. It is amazing how an experience like this can make such a POSITIVE difference in people's lives...
Thank you all, and thank God for his mercy, miracles of healing and blessings of strength!
God Bless you All!
