*Princess Libbie* is forever in my heart - Monday, January 1, 2007 9:07 AM CST
Dear Mr. Hallmark,

I am writing to you from heaven, and though it must appear,
A rather strange idea, I see everything from here,
I just popped in to visit, your stores to find a card,
A card of love for my parents, as this day for them is hard,
There must be some mistake I thought, every card you can imagine,
except I could not find a card, from a child that lives in heaven,
they are still a parent too, no matter where I reside,
I had to leave, they understand, but oh the tears they cried,
I thought that if I wrote to you, that you would come to know,
that though I live in heaven now, I still love my parents so,
they talk with me, and dreams with me, we still share laughter too,
memories are our way of speaking now, would you see what you can do?
my parents carry me in their heart, their tears they hide from sight,
they plants flowers in my garden, there my living memory dwells,
they writes to other grieving parents, trying to ease there pain as well,
so you see Mr. Hallmark, though I no longer live on earth,
I must find a way, to remind her of her wondrous worth,
they need to be honored, and be remembered too,
just as the children of the earth will do,
thank you Mr. Hallmark, I know you will do your best,
find a way to tell them, how much they mean to me,
until I can do it for myself, when she joins me in eternity.

I know Christmas must be so hard for you although I can't comprehend how difficult it must be.

All my love,

Viks

I do not know you or your daughter, just happened to come across your website while searching stitchinchicks. I can not express in words how touched I am. I am the mother of three beautiful healthy children. After my youngest baby was born I put my Pedi ICU nursing career on hold to be a full time stay at home mom. As a nurse I have seen miracles & devastating heartbreak. Both of which have taught me that life is precious, very fragile & can be gone in the blink of an eye, thus my decision to stay home with my babies & cherish every minute. I want to thank you for sharing your story & your precious little angel with us. We can not be reminded too often not to take life for granted - I'm headed to give my three another kiss before I go to bed. Thanks again & I am sincerely sorry for you loss. My prayers will be with you.

I can not tell you how many times I have thought of you and your daughter Libbie. I was a fan of your outfits you created and met you through a special friend named Lark and her daughter Sophie. When I realized your daughter passed away my heart broke in half at your loss. Even though I never knew you or your daughter personally I have prayed for you and your family many times. Not always knowing what to pray for. My neice passed away unexpectedly after her operation and I know how I felt about the loss of her. I miss her each day. I just wanted you to know that Libbie will not be forgotten by any one that had the oppentunity to meet her or read about her. I know now she is not here on earth with you but is looking down on you each day. The best part is she there in heaven and will be with you again one day in heaven. Thinking of you often. I am not sure what to say except that I am thinking of you and your family. I was sitting here and all of a sudden started thinking of Libbie as I do often. I cannot even remember how many times I have looked through her pictures now. I have never known or known of anyone who could have made such an impact on so many people as your princess has done. Through her short precious life she touched so many people in so many different ways. I don't think anyone will be the same. It really is amazing how 1 little girl could make so many love her :) I will continue to pray for you and your family!!

1Thessalonians 4:13-14 KJV
But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep, in Jesus will God bring with him.

1Thessalonians 4:13-14 ESV
But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope.
For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep.

Wishing you all a holiday filled with warm and loving memories, joy and peace but most of all hope in the reunion that awaits us all in Heaven.

I see the countless Christmas trees
around the world below
With tiny light, like Heaven's stars
reflecting on the snow.

The sight is so spectacular,
please wipe away that tear,
For I am spending Christmas
with Jesus Christ this year.

I hear the many Christmas songs
that people hold so dear
But the sounds of music can't compare
with the Christmas choir up here.

I have no words to tell you
of the joy their voices bring
For it is beyond description
to hear the angels sing.

I know how much you miss me,
I see the pain inside your heart
for I am spending Christmas
with Jesus Christ this year.

I can't tell you of the splendor
or the peace here in this place
Can you just imagine Christmas
with our Savior face to face?

I'll ask Him to lift your spirit
as I tell Him of your love
so then pray for one another
as you lift your eyes above.

Please let your hearts be joyful
and let your spirit sing
for I am spending Christmas in Heaven
and I'm walking with the King.

By Wanda Bencke~
May God bless you.
Love and hugs

I, as many, am from your ebay family. I watched Libbie's journey through your journal's and although I never met her she has given me strength. You also have given me strength as well as hope. As a mother myself, one of the hardest things to see is your dear child suffer. When I feel selfish or grouchy towards the kids I watch your "Journey Through A Princess" photo album. It allows me to open my eyes and see how beautiful life is. Your family has touched my heart in many ways and I want to thank you for that. I wish yourself, your husband and Buster the best. I hope all is well. God Bless!

I am thinking of you all and Libbie. My fiancee's cousin Joann wrote this for me. It was to help me when the days were hard after Scott E. Nerios passed away.

When the mountains bloom before you
and seem to tall to climb.
Close your eyes,
say my name and
dream of me.
When your arms feel empty
and seem too much to bear.
Close your eyes same
my name and
dream of me.
When happiness has fled you
and left sorrow in its path.
Close your eyes say my name
and
dream of me .
Fore, I will live forever in your heart
and in your mind,
Just close your eyes say
my name and
dream of me!

Peace be with you!

Hi there.. We met a while back at Hobby Lobby here in Austin, I don't know if you'll remember me... I showed you a bandana dress I was making with wide rick-rack.. I met Libbie and your son. I have checked in with your e-bay auctions once in a while to see what you were up to.. I just read about Libbie's death and wanted to cry. My husband passed away suddenly a week after Libbie. I wonder if they know each other now in heaven... I'm so sorry, I know that this time must be extremely hard for you, I know it is for me... If ever you'd like to connect, talk about sewing, or just have another buddy in Austin, please do e-mail me....

Thank you for sharing your beautiful little girl with my family. We do not know you, but ran across this auction when a loopy recommended the wonderful cookbook. Our little girl is almost 4 ... and I think it is so remarkable that your little Angel was allowed to live such a normal life... many parents may not have had the strength to make that happen. Dear heavenly father. I come to you tonight in behalf of Becky and her family as they have been on my mind lately.

We know that all things work for good according to your word and that it is not your wish that anyone suffer, especially the little ones. It's been 3 months since sweet Libbie earned her wings and joined you in that glorious kingdom. We know that Libbie rests in your loving arms and her little body is perfect once again but, the flesh is so weak. We long for that earthly touch as I'm sure it remains hard for Libbies family not having her here with them.

I just ask that you wrap your loving arms around Becky and her family during this trying time. Hold them tight so they know you are there. Give them the strength and the courage as they continue on with their lives. Comfort little buster as I'm sure he misses his little sister ever so much.

Be with all the other families fighting this awful beast dear Lord and above all please help us find a cure so the suffering of these little ones may stop.

All these things I ask in your most precious sons name

Amen

May you be comforted in knowing we are only a breath away from our loved ones.

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Ask my Mom how she is
My Mom, she tells alot of lies
she never did before.
From now until she dies,
she'll tell a whole lot more.
Ask my Mom how she is
and because she can't explain,
She will tell a little lie
because she can't describe the pain.
Ask my Mom how is she,
She'll say "I'm alright."
If that's the truth, then tell me,
why does she cry each night?
Ask my Mom how is she,
she seems to cope so well.
She didn't have a choice you see
nor the strength to yell.
Ask my Mom how she is,
"I'm fine, I'm well, I'm coping."
For Gods sake Mom, just tell the truth
just say your heart is broken.
She'll love me all her life,
I loved her all of mine.
But if you ask her how is she
she'll lie and say she's fine.
I am here in Heaven.
I cannot hug from here.
If she lies to you don't listen,
Hug her and hold her near.
On the day we meet again,
we'll smile and I'll be bold.
I'll say, "You're lucky to get in here, Mom
with all the lies you told!"

Please forgive me as I know that is so hard for you. She looked like a sweet little angel even before she got her wings and I know that she is a beautiful little angel up in heaven. She is a breath of fresh air to see such beauty and it is not fair for something that beautiful to endure what she did. But now she is in a wonderful place I believe and some day you will see her again. We all will and she is one little angel I would love to see when I get there.I am soooo sorry for your loss and I know that you miss her so much and there is no days that goes by that you don't think of her and she will always be there in your hearts. May God bless you and ease your pain and help you through this terrible loss. My prayers are with you always.

I have been checking Libbie's site for quite a while now, but I don't think I have ever signed in. I just never seem to have the right thing to say. I know that no words I could come up with would ever ease your pain. I don't know why I never noticed it before, but Libbie and I shared the same birthday, August 20th. I just wanted to let you know that I still think about Princess Libbie everyday and pray about your family.

Being a mother and grandmother of nine, I cannot imagine the pain and loss that you and your family are going through. What a beautiful child. The picture of her and Buster lying on the ground is so precious. She was beautiful and she still is, just imagine that face with wings being surrounded by nothing but love. No more pain, only God's eternal love. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Just know that your angel is exactly that, an angel who I am sure is with you every day. Love, Cheri

What do you say to a mother who has lost her child? I'm sorry and my prayers are with you seems to fall so short of the way my heart feels after viewing the slide show and reading about Libbie. Thank you so much for the reminder that one should never take their child for granted, and each day should be celebrated as if the world ends tomorrow. Libbie is a true angel now, and she is safe now- in your heart, never to feel pain again. May God's love and Libbie's spirit break through the clouds so the sun will shine again in your heart.

UNTITLED HYMN (COME TO JESUS)

Chris Rice – UNTITLED HYMN (COME TO JESUS)
From the album – RUN THE EARTH, WATCH THE SKY
Label – Rocketown ( 2003 )

Weak and wounded sinner
Lost and left to die
O, raise your head, for love is passing by
Come to Jesus
Come to Jesus
Come to Jesus and live!

Now your burden’s lifted
And carried far away
And precious blood has washed away the stain…so
Sing to Jesus
Sing to Jesus
Sing to Jesus and live!

And like a newborn baby
Don’t be afraid to crawl
And remember when you walk
Sometimes we fall...so
Fall on Jesus
Fall on Jesus
Fall on Jesus and live!

Sometimes the way is lonely
And steep and filled with pain
So if your sky is dark and pours the rain…then
Cry to Jesus
Cry to Jesus
Cry to Jesus and live!

O, and when the love spills over
And music fills the night
And when you can’t contain your joy inside…then
Dance for Jesus
Dance for Jesus
Dance for Jesus and live!

And with your final heartbeat
Kiss the world goodbye
Then go in peace, and laugh on Glory’s side…and
Fly to Jesus
Fly to Jesus
Fly to Jesus and live!

I hope your and your sweet, sweet family find comfort in the words of this song. We will pray for your family daily.

To the Family of **Princess Libbie**, It was so hard for me to hear about Libbie. I just want you to know that she has touched the lives of soooo many. I have never known of so much love and faith in a child before Libbie. And i now find myself stopping whenever i get angry with my children. Stop and think how lucky I am to have 2 Darling Kids.(And i now just stop and take a little extra time to just hug and kiss and say "Mommy Loves you", several times a day). Libbie has made me a Better person for just knowing her through Ebay. I think everyone who was touched by her is now a better person. She changed ALOT of peoples lives!
She was an Angel here on earth (sent to teach us the true meaning of LOVE and Faith) and now she is an Angel in Heaven! May God Bless you! And Thank you God for Letting us know Libbie!

Another angel takes flight.

My deepest, most sincere sympathy and condolences to each and every one of you!! Libbie was a fighter, there is no doubt about that! She is now pain free, free to fly in the Heavens and watch over all of you!
We lost our precious Pam on Oct. 7, 2003, so I know what you are going through. There are no words that can ease the pain.

The worst thing that can happen to a parent is to lose a child. It feels like someone ripped your heart out. You go from the unbelievable to the unbearable.

Libbie is in a good place now and I'm sure Pam is with her. She just loved children so much.

I would just like to share a saying that was on the card my wife Diane picked out, and we bought for Pam:

If you were a star
That wasn’t expected back
In the universe
For a thousand years,
I’d wait.

If you were the sky
And everyone went inside
When you got sad
And started to rain,
I’d stay.

And if you were a peach
And the world decided to get rid of all peaches,
I’d pick you up,
Put you in my pocket…

AND KEEP YOU……..FOREVER.

I would also like to share, with you and your family, a poem that was put on Pams website:
God's Garden

God looked around His garden
And found an empty place
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face

He put His arms around you
And lifted you to rest
God's garden must be beautiful,
He always takes the best

He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain,
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.

He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb
So He closed your weary eyelids,
And whispered "Peace Be Thine."

It breaks our hearts to lose you
But you didn't go alone.
For part of us went with you,

I just heard the sad news, Becky, and when I came to this website was moved to tears by the beautiful picture shown of Libbe. She looks like an angel in that picture, with the way the golden light is all around the top of her head. Your story touched my heart and I wish you all the comfort of Jesus during this season of life. May our Lord keep you and sustain you and restore you by His mercy, grace and love. Libbe's testimony of life will remain in the hearts of all who heard of her and knew her. Your faith is an inspiration to all and through your open sharing, we all have been blessed. Take comfort from these words, for "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust. Under His wings you shall take refuge." (Psalm 91:1-4)

Becky and family,
I just found out by seeing a "in memory of" banner on an ebay designer's listing. I now sit in tears, with my own children saying "it's ok, mom" and handing me a kleenex, not knowing why I cry. I only knew Libbie through Ebay, but I can tell you she trully touched our hearts up here in Canada. Even as my heart breaks, I THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing your angel with us. We have 4 angels "born into heaven" too (recent one Jan.9 2004), I hope they get the honour to meet and play amongst the clouds with Libbie. I will never forget Libbie, she taught us so much and touched so many - inspirational, a true tribute to life! Libbie taught me to make the most of every second we have together. I wish we had known you, in person, and the miles were not as far. Thank you Becky for letting us love Libbie too.

Through any tears that may come, may there also be memories that make you smile; speak her name, display her photos, celebrate what she has given so many - until we re-unite, God will keep her safe. He had a reason, that only he knows; he blessed us all with Libbie. What an awesome gift. She has trully earned her wings! Until I get to meet you in person some day, sweet dreams dear sweet Libbie.

You don't know me but I came to know of Princess Libbie through Ebay. Her story has been such an inspiration to me and my family. It saddens me terribly to even think about what you must be going through now. From everybodys comments here, it looks like she has changed and inspired so many people in this world. Her time here was so short but she did so much in that little time than more people do in their long lifetime. Remember that she is now a true angel watching over her family with no more pain.

Dearest Nichols family,
Aloha from Hawaii. I too am a designer who has contributed to the Princess Libbie auctions. I was deeply touched by your precious angel. I viewed the slideshow that was sent and smiled...thinking of the joy that she must have brought your family. Though I am sad that she has left this earth, it gives me peace in knowing that she is with the Heavenly Father up above. I thank you for sharing your Libbie with us!

I honestly can not come up with the words to express how deeply sad I am for your family. Yet, I find comfort in the fact that Libbie's dear Heavenly Father is holding her close now. She is dancing down those beautiful streets of gold!

Rest now, precious little Libbie, now that you are finally pain free and free from any sadness and sorrow. Wait patiently for that day when your family will be with you again.

When I lost my grandmother a few years ago, this poem was found in her wallet. We had it read at her service, and I wanted to share it with you.

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the softly falling snow.

I am the gentle showers of rain,
I am the fields of ripening grain.

I am in the morning hush,
I am in the graceful rush of beautiful birds in circling flight.

I am the starshine of the night -
I am in the flowers that bloom,
I am in a quiet room.

I am in the birds that sing,
I am in each lovely thing.

Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there -- I do not die.

Becky, I was shocked to read about our Precious Libbie going to be with Jesus. She is no longer in pain and I have a sweet friend that has cancer also, who will be leaving behind her baby who is 3 1/2 years of age. They are given to us for a short time to take care of and to love and even teach us many things. Only God knows what is best for our little angels. We will continue to pray for your family for the loss of your angel!

Words can not express how much I am thinking of you all. Libbie was a true angel and blessed so many lives. She will live on in all of our hearts forever. Becky and family... I too did not know little Libbie. But she touched my hear tas well as many others. I "watch" many groups on ebay and read her story about a year ago.I watched in awe as this little girl pulled together many designers and ebayers from all over the world. She truly is an inspiration. But, Becky I have to give you credit- you must be an amazing woman and mother. Libbie chose you to be her mother and you helped her touch so many lives. Thus, reminding us moms out there to take more time with our children. I cant even imagine the impact she had on the world. I heard the news today and I am so sorry. Libbie was such a little princess and also such a trooper. I am the nurse that took care of Libbie the day the doctors had such a hard time getting her bone marrow. I will never forget how brave she was that day. To Becky and your wonderful sweet family. There are no words to express comfort to your grief at this moment in time. But this moment shall pass and your little Libbie will FOREVER live in the hearts of the THOUSANDS IF NOT MILLIONS of people whose lives were forever affected. My own...my children...even my husband, my mother, people in my community I shared Libbie's story with. You have NO IDEA how far reaching is the depth and breadth of her influence for good in the world. If ever there was an eternal flame, that flame is Libbie. I will be a better mother for having known you and her in some small way. I will pay more attention to the little things and make sure to hug them more. They will therefore grow up more confidant, more secure, more self assured to become better human beings with a better influence in life. I will raise them with more faith. Their light will shine and not be hid. They will be a better influence on their friends who will in turn be a better influence on their friends and so on. Love and kindness spread like wildfire...as one smile leads to another, so Libbie's light will FOREVER SHINE IN THE HEARTS OF THOSE WHO KNEW HER IN PERSON OR IN SPIRIT...thank you for sharing her with us. And may God give you the comfort only He is able to give at this time. Blessings to you and your family always....

Libbie is not only a princess but a queen! She reigned over us all, spreading hope and love throughout the world. It is amazing how much she gave with a mere fraction of a lifetime. She loved without prejudice or hatred and without condition. I beg of you all to not forget her. I pray that the light that she ignited within all of us will not dwindle to a mere lingering flame. What will we do with the rest of our lives? Can we carry Libbie's dream of hope and love? Queen Libbie is reigning in a greater place with more love than even she could imagine. Thank you Libbie for blessing me through your strength. I am happy to have had you touch my life if only for a fleeting moment than to never have known your love at all. Thank you for restoring the hope of love and miracles for so many. You have touched us all beyond measure and for that we are grateful to you, our Queen! May you graciously accept your rewards that await you in Heaven and know that we will do all that we can to continue your fight of love and hope for all people. We love you. Felicia and Little Amber

Like many others who have signed your guestbook, I never had the privilege of meeting your sweet little Libbie or the rest of your family. I followed many of the auctions and read many stories about this wonderful and brave little girl. Through her pictures, you could tell what a vibrant and affectionate little girl she was. When I heard the news today, my heart just sank for you. I sit here now at 1AM with tears streaming down my face trying to imagine your loss. I have two little girls and can only imagine how devastated you must be. Libbie was a beautiful angel on earth...a true gift from God and now she's an angel in Heaven. I've heard it said that our children are on "loan" from God and we never know when we will have to return them. Your sweet little girl has made me realize what a lucky mother I am. I will definitely be a better person and a better mother because of Libbie. God bless you and your entire family during this tough time. You will all be in my prayers.

I heard your little Princess went to see her Heavenly Father, and my heart rejoices about her life and breaks for missing her. I can't imagine how your heart must be breaking, but know that you will be in my prayers. I know the Lord is the only thing that can fill what Libbie left behind. Your little girl has blessed so many people that her testimony of life was pure joy!You must be missing her greatly.I know there was great rejoicing in Heaven when your little girl meet her Savior face to face! You celebrated her life and taught Libbie to do the same.We all saw in her the Love and Joy that came from her heart!Jesus will say," Well done my faithful servants for rearing my little Libbie to showing my Joy, showing my heart and sharing my Love to thousands of souls!". We all have been touched by her example.

Sweet, sweet Princess Libbie- Though I did not know you, your ever lasting presence has touched me so very deeply. You will be missed by many, more than you'll ever know. =)

She shared with us with her style and grace,
so lovely, slim with smiling face.
Her hair was brown, her smile was warm,
to see her was to know her charm.

She loved her family most of all,
but shared herself with all who called,
and had no prejudice, or hate -
but accepted life just on her faith.

Her life was short but full of love,
for family, home and God above.
So short a time with us it seems,
no time to really fill her dreams.

But sometimes God has other plans,
that's different from we mortal man.
He uses us to fill his needs,
to do his work, to sow his seeds.

And so our Libbie's gone away,
a star in Heaven some would say.
Memories of her are wonderful you see,
a perfect vision of life that's free.

I, like SO many..did not have the opportunity to know Libbie, except thru your link. I do want you to know, however; she will be FOREVER etched into my heart and memory. I think she would look down and smile at the new friendships she has created...she is a true angel..when she was here sharing our world..and now an angel with wings in heaven. Words cannot express the loss, or the grief that has been felt by anyone that was honored with a Libbie "encounter", whether in person or by computer. I want you to know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Becky ,
As I struggle for the words to say to you I realize that words are just that , the impact that little Libbie has had on anyone who has heard her story can not be expressed in words alone . I have followed sweet Libbie via pictures and auctions and all the while thinking what a special little girl . Becky , ANGEL LIBBIE and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers always.

Becky and family,

I am so sorry for your loss. I did not have the honor of knowing Libbie, I just had the honor of hearing her story and wanted you to know that she has touched my life as well as so many others out there.

I viewed your slide show a while back and it brought tears to my eyes to think of what hardships such an adorable little girl has to go through in life. And through it all she was always smiling! God works in mysterious ways and I am sure we are dealt the hand we are dealt for a reason. Libbie's reason was to make us all realize what we have and not take it for granted. She was an angel here on Earth and now she is an angel with God. You were blessed to have her in your life. May God watch over your precious little one.

My prayers go out to Libbie's family and friends. I will never forget Princess Libbie.

Dear Becky and Family,
My heart sank when I heard the news. I am totally speechless. I would like to let you know something my Grandpa told me not long before passing, He said Alicia, the reason God calls on people and they pass is because he needs them for a bigger job. He told me that every one that walks on earth and passes goes on to be a gardian angel. And what a special job that is. Libbie was such a inspiration for so many kids, mothers and fathers. I can only imagine how lucky that someone is getting her to watch over them as their gardian angel. Like someone else said ...Mission completed! Those wings have been well earned. God bless you and your loved ones. (((HUGS)))

Becky and family. I do not know you and you probably don't know me....but we participated in the charity auctions for sweet Libby and I can't tell you how much her story touched me. When I heard about Libbie's passing, tears streamed down my face. My heart hurts for you and your family but God will be with you always! Please remember that and turn to him when you feel you can't go on. Libbie was truly a princess and now she's an angel. She will live in spirit forever and ever. She has touched so many lives. I will lift your family in prayer and I will also add your family to our church prayer list. The power of prayer works wonders and I know you need it right now with your loss. You lost a daughter on earth but you gained an angel in Heaven and you WILL see her again someday! Until then...be strong! Big hugs

I do not know the pain you are feeling right now, but I do know that in your darkest moments that is when you can climb up in Jesus' arms and let Him carry you. If you are not strong enough to climb that is when the friends and family that love you dearly will help lift you.

Please know that you have many out there who are lifting you now.

Oh, sweet, sweet Becky, what do you say in a time like this? You always say I am so good with words~no, not today, not tomorrow, not in a time like this!
As I received this news, I was in a store choosing bunnies for the Easter baskets~I literally stopped breathing. I am so glad Mark was with me, as I was in total shock....
And all I could do was think of my little piece of laminated paper where Libbie had written her name decorating my big box from your house.... I had even seen it this morning in my prayer chair. I can see it in my head wherever I am.... Libbie in green! You know, there is something very special about the way she wrote her name? She always made big circles over the i's -- I am sure you noticed the way she did make them big and like circles dotting her i's in her name. Well, today, it hit me.
Libbie was not only a Princess, but Libbie was much, much more importantly an Angel. Each time she signed her name she put halos over the i's! She was here on a mission~a commission from God! And honey, did she ever fulfill her mission. When Jesus met her today and took her by the hand for her majestic flight into heaven, he looked at her and said "Well done my faithful servant!" How many of us will He be able to say those words to?
Becky, John and Buster, just knowing you the short time I have makes me want to be a better mother, wife and friend, but most of all it has shown me true courage and true love. I want you to know the lives of my family will never be the same. The lives of my children who have prayed for Libbie and her family on a daily basis in their classrooms, both elementary and high school, have been touched by the angel who lived at your house.
Anne-Ashley, through her tears, and in her young innocent way, said, " Mom, what do I tell everyone at school on Monday? I mean we pray for the Nichols every day~" I said, " Anne-Ashley, sweetheart, you tell everyone in your class that Libbie got her wings! She finished her work on Earth and went to be held by Jesus! You tell them the people whose lives she touched will never be the same and that she was only five years old. Which means a lot of people out here have a lot to live up to! You tell everyone the Nichols family in Texas will still need their prayers, but Libbie is healthy and will never suffer another day again!" With that Anne-Ashley was content, until tonight, when she brought me "a poem" she wrote for your family.

Libbie

Please don't be sad for me and please don't cry,
I will always be with you.
I am the wind that brushes across your face,
I am the sunshine in every place.
I am the bird hopping in your yard,
I am the sweet, sweet words on every card.

It's okay to miss me, but please do know
Jesus came for me and I had to go.
I am the smile you see on everyone's face,
I promise I will still be in every place.
I am the ribbons, fabrics, and thread
Jesus needed me here with Him, He said.

"Libbie, your halo is shiny and your wings are intact
we are taking a journey, don't look back.
I will comfort your family and surround them with love
And you can always watch them from up above."

I will be the shining star so bright,
So please never, never say goodnight.
Just say your prayers and give kisses and hugs,
and say Blessings are with us, as we've experienced Libbie's love.

I know I can't say anything more comforting than what
Anne-Ashley wrote for your family. Our hearts, prayers and thoughts surround each of you, and with the love of God, we know you are experiencing a peace which surpasses all understanding.

Becky, today when I wanted to be impatient with my own little ones, I thought of Libbie...when I wanted to yell, 'back to bed!' I thought of Libbie and took a few extra minutes to cuddle and kiss, when my little ones became bored and fussy, I put aside my work and we went outside to run and play and blow bubbles and giggle. Libbie's short stay on earth has reminded me so many times how lucky I am and how precious each and every child is. Thank you so much for sharing her with all of us. My heart is breaking for you and your family but it comforts me to know that Libbie is now at peace. I read a card once that stated, "some people come in and out of our lives so easily and are quickly forgotten...while others leave footprints on our souls" Libbie has definitely left her little pink footprints on so many souls with her courage, joy and sweet smiling face. And you, Becky, you are an inspiration to all mommys. Thank you.

Thank you for sharing Libbie with us. She has touched us all.

Looking back on the memory of
The dance we shared 'neath the stars alone
For a moment all the world was right
How could I have known that you'd ever say goodbye

And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance

Holding you I held everything
For a moment wasn't I a king
But if I'd only known how the king would fall
Hey who's to say you know I might have chanced it all

And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance

Yes my life is better left to chance
I could have missed the pain but I'd of had to miss the dance

If Tears Could Build a Stairway

If tears could build a stairway,

And memories were a lane,

We would walk right up to heaven

To bring you down again.

No farewell words were spoken,

No time to say good-bye.

You were gone before we knew it,

And only God knows why.

Our hearts still ache in sadness

And secret tears still flow,

What it meant to lose you,

No one will ever know.

When we are sad and lonely,

And everything goes wrong,

We seem to hear you whisper

"Cheer up and carry on."

Each time we look at your pictures,

You seem to smile and say,

"Don't cry, I'm only sleeping,

We'll meet again someday."

Precious Libbie, I have been praying for your family as now your suffering has ended but it is your family that needs comforting and prayers now. I found a few poems for them when they are able to read them:
When You Go
by Brenda Penepent
In a final moment
when light and sound begin
to wane and fade
I will be there with you.
When with a final sigh
the last breath taken ends
and you relax at last
I will stay beside you.
Those eyes that have borne
so many tears
will cry no more.
I will cry for you.
When softly steals your soul
from your body,
quietly, I will comfort you.
I will be there.
And when the glorious light
that is GOD finds you;
remember, you will always
be part of me.

Especially for Mom, Dad, and Brother:
Life Is So Fleeting
by Brenda Penepent
And death, so imminent
How can we face this
Challenge alone.
A prayer whispered softly,
“God, please won’t You help me,
Keep my head up
When I’m drowning in pain.”
Hold my hand, please, Lord.
I feel so alone now.
The wall seems so high,
I can’t climb across.
A bird at my window
Sings a song to remind me
That God is listening
And hope is not lost.
So I’ll hold on one more day;
Sometimes just one hour.
I’ll tell myself God cares,

Sweet Libbie! I am feeling a wee bit selfish for wanting such a beautiful angel to stay here for many more happy times. I too have a daughter named Libby. She is truly the soul of me. I think Libbies have special gifts to make all around them smile, even if it's smiling thru their tears. Tonight, lean down and kiss Mommy and Daddy and Little brother too! I think they are going to need a lot of your kisses in thier dreams, until the time comes when everyone is together again. What a heavenly group hug that will be:-) From my Libby to you, sweetheart Libbie, all our love. Ps..remember to run and slide and climb trees, and feed the ducks, giggle, smile and make friends who are angels like you.

My heart goes out to you and your family. My four year old son was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in June of 2002 and is undergoing a three year treatment. My sister in law had the same diagnosis as a child and it is not considered hereditary, just bad luck. With our ill children we take one day at time, one treatment at a time. I will lift you and your family up in prayer with my four year old as he prays for continued health.

God grant us this year a wider view,
So we see others' faults through the eyes of You;
Teach us to judge not with hasty tongue,
Neither the adult ... nor the young.

Give us patience and grace to endure
And a stronger faith so we feel secure;
And instead of remembering, help us forget
The irritations that caused us to fret.

Freely forgiving for some offense
And finding each day a rich recompense,
In offering a friendly, helping hand
And trying in all ways to understand,
That all of us whoever we are ...
Are trying to reach "an unreachable star."

For the great and small ... the good and bad,
The young and old ... the sad and glad,
Are asking today, "Is life worth living?"
And the answer is only in "loving" and "giving."

For only "Love" can make man kind
And Kindness of Heart brings Peace of Mind,
And by giving love we can start this year
To lift the clouds of hate and fear.

~*~*~*Wishing you and your entire family a VERY happy 2004*~*~*~

SENDING A RAINBOW

God is sending you a rainbow.
He knows when you are so sad, feeling blue.
Don't worry he will always know!
His bright colors will cheer you.

When each moment is trying to get you down,
God is sending a rainbow to warm the day.
His cheerful colors turns away any hint of a frown.
His love is there to stay.

God is sending a rainbow with colors bright.
His sun sends warming beams to heal.
He feel you are sick, not feeling right.
For he loves you dearly, every heart fill.

God is sending you a rainbow.
He knows when you are so sad, feeling blue.
Don't worry he will always know!
His bright colors will cheer you.

Hi,my name is Mari and my daughter , Chiara has JMML.
You are so right when you say that there are different types of JMML. Chiara`s doctor tells us this all the time.
The fact that the illness starts in different ways, that they react to therapy in different ways, that some of them have cromosomic mutations and some don`t are all indications that there are different subtypes of JMMl. Maybe this can also indicate that they need different medical approaches.Good luck and all my support.

Becki,
I completely understand your need for silence Sometimes. sometimes hearing yourself talk about it all is too painful and you need some time to let it all sink in and get sorted out. You know we are always here when you need us, and even if you don't, we are thinking of you. I'm sorry about the latest twists in counts and things. I hope that they figure out what is going on so you can keep Libbie on track to beating this beast!

Libbie, We dont know each other, but my friend Amie & I are trying to raise awareness and generate more support and prayers for more kids' sites. If you havent already, soon you will be getting guestbook messages from someone who has "adopted" you and your site (that is, if you want to participate). Since my son has leukemia, we have the common bond of having our lives turned upside down, and I know encouragement from others is important for you and your parents. We hope you are doing well and will be praying for you .

Hello there Libbie, Becky, John and Buster:

Sorry that we haven't dropped in here in a while. Donna, myself and Miss Kitty the Labrador dog just returned from a 4,127 mile, 21 day (working) vacation to San Francisco, Green River, Wyoming, and Colorado and back. Our band, Jemimah Puddleduck played a few shows while we were out on the road. And of course we got to spend a few days with Aunt Beth and Jake and Tyler in Longmont and at the Phil Lesh & Friends concert at Red Rocks amphitheater outside Denver. I'm sure you heard that Aunt Beth seriously injured her ankle while they were up in Aspen. And boy oh boy did Tyler seem to grow just a wee bit while away staying in Austin with Buster. How fast you kids grow up!

We hope all is well as can be expected with you Libbie. We think of you each and every day. And. . . . May God Bless you all. . .

You always amaze me with all your strength. I will never forget the feeling of being home sick and just wanting to get out of there!! We were able to come HOME after leaving the hospital --we were only 1hr away. The bad thing about such a long stay---I never wanted to go back. Colby really loved being at the hospital. He got showered with constant attention. I still can't believe how I got through a month of being in the hospital. God is powerful and gives us amazing strength to endure what must be done.

The elevated white count is concerning and hopefully will end up being nothing serious.

Great to hear 100% donor cells!!!! Prayers for continued healing and strength. GO CELLS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HI BECKY,
YOU HAVEN'T UPDATED IN AWHILE,HOPE EVERYTHING IS GOOD AND LIBBIE IS JUST "KEEPING YOU BUSY"!! JUST WANTED TO SAY WE LOVE YOU AND ARE STILL VERY INTERESTED IN MEETING YOU ALL IN PERSON WHEN THAT BECOMES POSSIBLE. I THINK OF YOU ,EVERY TIME I AM AT TEXAS CHILDREN'S AND MAYBE SOON I WILL FIGURE OUT A WAY TO "VISIT" ( I ALWAYS HAVE JAKE AND DON'T KNOW THE RULES ABOUT THAT STUFF FOR YOUR HOSPITAL )AND WOULD NOT WANT TO RISK ANY COMPLICATION ,FROM EXPOSURE , TO LIBBIE. BUT YOU ARE ALWAYS CLOSE TO MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS..

Becky and Princess Libbie,
Since the isolation has been lifted, you are probably charming and entertaining the staff with your lovely smile. The playroom is always a welcoming place, but of course it must be completely wiped down before entering and it just isn't as much fun when there aren't other children to play with. Becky, I hope you are getting recharged from Libbie's strong will and know that we are here for you.

Dear Libby and Family,
I was introduced to your site by Andy Noel, and I must say you are a beautiful and charming little girl. What is also beautiful is the love that so many friends from across the country have for you. I hope you continue to remember that many people are thinking and praying for you to continue to have the happy life you deserve. I hope to someday meet you face to face, but I will most definately know you in Christ.

Hi Libbie. I really enjoy visiting you and your mom today. It is such good news about how your engrafting is going. Praise God! When I am working hard for something and I feel sad I take a lot of comfort in this Scripture from James 2:2-4(slightly paraphrased): "Boys and girls, whenever you face trials of any kind, consider it nothing but joy, because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance; and let endurance have its full effect, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking in nothing."

God Bless You, Pastor Andy

wHEW!! I was glad they were able to save Libbie's line. Too bad for the skin condition. I recall very well changing Colby's dressing twice a week--it was torture for him. Skin prep really helped but it needs to be applied to intact skin. I was glad to read that Libbie is at least taking a few sips of fluid even with her throat hurting. The eating won't come for some time, but rest assure, the TPN has more fat and nutrition than any toddler eats on any given day. You both are in our thoughts and prayers as you endure this path towards CURE. I hope you are taking care of yourself Becky. You are Libbie's rock and she needs you to stay strong.

Dear Becky & Libbie

Thanks for signing Cindy’s Guesstbook. I am Cindy’s dad. I’m glad to get to know another JMML family. Libbie’s counts will recover slowly from the cord blood, but it has a lot less complication than a bone marrow, be patient. So sorry to hear all the sore throat that Libbie has. Hope all the mouth cares will help to heal it soon.

Yes, I do remember Brittan. I talked with her mom several times at the hospital. I’m glad to hear she’s doing well.

Thanks for finding and signing our guestbook. I can't beleive you read the entire journal history. That seems quite a task! I am so excited that transplant day is nearing for your family. The road is definitely bumpy but the chance of being cancer free is well worth it. Continue to find strength through your little one's resiliency. Our family will keep you in our prayers.

Libbie, I have my entire church in Arizona praying for you! We lifted you and your family up in prayer during worship service yesterday. Our pastor asked that you be comforted through all of the yucky, scary times. She also asked for God's comforting presence for your family, too.

Albert and I watched Harry Potter this weekend, too. We really liked it.

Have a great week! Hope you are feeling better.

Hello Becky and Princess Libbie,
I emailed you with Colby's healing prayer. We continue to hold you close to our hearts and pray for eternal healing. I hope the headaches are from her sinus cavity and nothing more serious. It is a constant fear when our children complain of any discomfort. It is good to hear the doctors and you are on top of all her symptoms.
Love and prayers
