Mallory's Messages Hi! We are Boyd and Liz Purkis and we would like share our daughter, Mallory, with you. Mallory was diagnosed with Stage IV Neuroblastoma, an aggressive solid tumor cancer of the sympathetic nervous system, on January 1, 1999 at the age of 2 1/2. Although she has been through many difficult times, she maintains the normal life of a little girl and blesses us each day with her beautiful, blue eyes and contagious giggle. We hope that you enjoy her website. Please sign our guestbook.

Friday, August 23, 2002 at 11:26 AM (CDT) Dear Friends-
Mallory continues to do so well. She just began her 1st grade school year this past Monday. She loves her teacher and is looking forward to a great year.
We had her hearing checked at the hospital before school started and all is well. I was concerned that she was having some problems hearing. I guess she is being a normal six year old and just ignoring me. :0)
She will be going for scans soon so I will post the results as soon as they are received. This will probably be her last set of scans unless we feel the need to do so. The doctors feel confident with her progress and now feel the need for only labs and urine checks. It's a big step but I think I'm ready to take it.
We are saddened by the loss of our dear friend, Kirstyn Kimball, this past Monday. She has been Mallory and Morgan's best friend for three (3) years so it has been a difficult loss to deal with. Yet we are rejoicing that she is no longer having to battle neuroblastoma. Please join us as we pray for strength and comfort for her family. I have added a picture of her to the photo album.
Thanks for stopping by and please sign the guest book.
Our warmest regards-
The Purkis Family
