When we read this update, my 8-year-old Cole said, "It is happening! The miracle is happening!!" The other day I sat down with the kids and said we really needed to pray for Connor, and I wanted us to pray for a miracle like we never had, but that in order to do that, we HAD to believe, with every part of us, that God can and will heal Connor on Earth. Since they are 8, 5 and 3, it is easy for them to wholeheartedly have that kind of faith. So we prayed with every ounce of faith between us, and are waiting in anticipation to see how big our God is.
Thank you for sharing the blessings in the midst of the concerns. We need to hear all of it to know how to come at His feet.

Our daughter-in-law, Debby Parker keeps us posted on Connor and your family. Many months ago we asked our church family at RidgeCrest Baptist to add Connor to their individual prayer lists...so know that people in Abilene, Texas are praying for more miracles.
Although your journey has been unbelievably rough, we are thankful that you know and accept the sovereignty of our Lord. Rest in the knowledge that He loves Connor and your family more than anyone on this earth possibly can.
Psalm 143:8 "Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul."

Father God, I pray for Conner and his family and for your will to be done. We know Lord that you are there with them every step of the way. Conner has proven to be a fighter, but, he cannot fight cancer alone Lord, he needs your touch to make it work. I pray asking for peace in the hearts of his family as they watch him struggle and I thank you Father that they are not giving up! Father, they trust in you and they see your hand in the journey they have made and are still traveling. I pray Lord for comfort for Conner as he goes through all of the side effects and treatments. It has to be hard on his little body, but, he keeps on keeping on. Kids are a wonderful blessing, however, they are also good teachers, they teach us to keep looking ahead, to keep moving and not give up, they teach us unconditional love (which you have instilled in them)and to find good things in the things that surround us. Lord I just ask for your blessings on this child and the mother who sits with him constantly. Let them feel the prayers and draw strength from them. Give mommy a time to rest while Conner is resting. Lord I pray for daddy and the others who are home so far away right now. Give them strength, allow them to feel your presence and draw them all together in spirit and in love. Lord we leave this child in your hands, because your hands are able! Amen

I am best friends with Ali Follett. She told me about your son's strong soul. And she told me about God's Healing for Conner. I have a medical prayer for Conner:
The cycles of cell renewal are exactly in balance with Conner's highest good. All the production of all enzymes, proteins and hormones in perfect response to Conner's best health. All the cancer cells are dying and are quickly recycled as Conner's phagocytes are doing their most efficient work. Conner's cells that recognize and clear all cancer cells are keen and fully supported by Conner's immune system. All of Conner's life systems-inside and outside of his cells- are full of God's Love and are responsible for his optimal health.

Just came across your site through Joanna Bennett. I wanted to write and let you know your story is very near to my heart. Last year we took our 4 yr. old son to the ER also complaining of severe stomach pains. His intestines were twisted up, causing internal bleeding. He almost died that night. We have had an exhausting year living in and out of hospitals, and traveling all over the country for specialized care. He is currently on tube feeds 18 hrs/day. The Lord has been merciful.....Caed is healing, but still has such a long road ahead of him. Please know we will pray for Connor and the rest of your family. I know as a mother of a child who is very sick how incredibly difficult it can be.

Just wanted you all to know that we are praying for wisdom beyond our own understanding for each person involved in making decisions for Connor. Lord Jesus, You are so faithful. It is awesome, humbling, and totally incredible to read what a rocky road Connor has maneuvered.
Though I've not had the honor of meeting Connor or the Cruse family, It is easy to visualize Connor's kick step determination as he power walks down the path. I can imagine a little guy kicking rocks out of the way...zip goes a stone to the right, pow a pebble off to the left, and with a running blow one major soccer power play displaces a stubborn rock out of his way. Afterall, he has places to go, people to see, and a God to walk beside him every step!
Praise the Lord God of All Good Things! Faithful is He who is called the Eternal God. Faithful are You, Lord, to your Word. Jer 33:3 "Call unto me and I will answer thee; and show thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not."
Stay the good course Cruse family. Well done, good and faithful servants.

Joy and Tate, I can't imagine the feelings you have at this moment!! I know that Lane has had 2 surgeries in 6 months, a hernia repair and now the latest being knee surgery. These can in no way compare to what you are facing so I'm just asking God to wrap His arms around you both and give you the peace only He can give. Hillary is still having blood sugar problems and is stressing over the decision to play BB in college and where to go as well, but these can no way compare to what you are facing. Please know that we are praying for Connor and your entire family! Your faith and belief are amazing and I just ask God to comfort you, give you peace and work His will in this situation. Father God, what a privaledge to lift up Connor, his immediate family of parents ,Joy & Tait, loving siblings, as well as the extended family You've called together through an amazing bond provided by a little boy. I am so thankful for the honor of giving You thanks on Connor's behalf, Lord Jesus.
As Connor goes into surgery, Father God, I ask Your presence be with each of the medical personnel working with Connor. Your Word tells us we only need to ask for wisdom, you willing provide even greater wisdom in generous amounts. Rest wisdom, peace, and instantaneous knowledge upon the doctors for any and every decision needed in Connor's care. Before they call, Lord, I praise Your Name on their behalf, You have given the answers. There will be no need for struggles or second guessing. You, Father God, are right there to give the perfected answer.
Lord Jesus, thank you for the prayer warriors assembled to lift up Connor and his parents, family, school, and friends. Lord, remind each family member of Your closeness. Wrap Your arms around them in the ultimate bear hug.
Bar every outside, negative word from coming near Connor and his family's dwelling. Pity is a word which can seem so innocent, yet can lurk a dark shadow of doubt. It is doubtless in whom the Cruse family believes, in whom their hope rests. Their love for Connor is also a display of an abiding love of the One True God.
In Jesus's precious name, I thank You for being with Connor in surgery and all through his recovery. Amen.

Aunt Patricia told us Sunday at church that you aren't feeling so great. We said special prayers that the doctors will be able to take care of this tummy bug and make your tummy feel better. You rest up and we will be saying extra prayers for you on Wednesday during your surgery.

I am a grandmother of 11 children. My oldest is disabled and in a wheelchair for lide due to an auto accident. He is 23. My youngest is Bri 5 yrs old and a special needs child. I have some of the feelings of anxiety etc. that you must feel but cannot imagine dealing with cancer. God bless you. I cry for you but praise the Lord that you trust in Him. I will pray for Conner everyday and my thoughts will constantly be thinking of you and of all of the dear children who are going through such deep valleys in their lives.

My mom works for Northwestern Mutual in New York, and when she called and told me Connor's story it brought me to absolute tears. I feel for your entire family, and continue to pray for Strength, Wisdom, Patience, and Health for all of you. My daughter was diagnosed on March 3, 2005 with a Primitive NeuroEctodermal Tumor. This tumor also caused a Cushing's Ulcer to burst in her stomach (just past the valve). She was on Ventilator's for 2 weeks, and I can remember how the waiting period for diagnosis seemed forever! She has now been in remission for over 2 years, and every day is a blessing for us. I can't say I know exactly what you are going through, but I can definitely empathize and somewhat relate to the stress and anxiety your entire family is being faced with. My heart and my prayers go out to you!

Connor, you are not so little anymore! You are such a strong, happy and busy (from what it sounds like) boy! I love seeing your picture on your blog. I always think you are saying, "Gig 'Em" with your thumbs up. :) The Aggies haven't done so well in football, but if you like basketball, they are doing better with that sport.
I'm praying for you as I type this. Praying that you all have a blessed Christmas season and that you feel God lovingly and faithfully holding you in His eternal hands. Praying also that He is developing character and wisdom in your young heart so that you will grow to be a mighty warrior for Him.
Do you know, Connor, that God has been to the storehouses of snow? Maybe we'll have some of that sometime soon! He also knows the way to the place where lightning is sent out. It's probably more likely we'll get some of that soon. :) Ah well, it's Texas after all.
Even though you don't remember me, Connor, I think of you often and think you are just one cool kid. I hope you have some fun at school this week!

Thank you for your wonderful post. It is truly amazing how God uses these little children to reveal to us what is truly important. I have been blessed by you site and your postings over the past 10 months as we have gone through our journey through neuroblastoma. God is amazing - I can't say it enough. Like you a church family we barely belonged to gathered around us and took us in as if we were founding members. Members of Discovery! became huge supporters. MOPS women fed our family while Caden and I were in the hospital, and the boys MDO program made sure we never lacked for child care - not mention all the prayers and donations, the list goes on. It has been sites like yours that have helped as well, to give my hope and information in an area we knew nothing about. Thank you so much. We continue to keep each of you in our prayers.

My grandnephew is also named Connor (http://www.connordunham.com). He was diagnosed with A. L. L. leukemia when he was barely two years old. He was airlifted from Anchorage, Alaska to Children's Hospital in Seattle where Connor stayed for the next year plus with his family Mom Alicia, Dad Steve, Baby brother Carson and the untiring circle of support that helped them all as they lived between the hospital and the Ronald McDonald House. His stay was over a year and I am happy to say he just celebrated his 4th birthday back home in Alaska. With all the highs and lows we are fortunate that in this moment, despite the hell of the journey that included a bone marrow transplant and a few set backs, Connor is cancer free. First hand I know you are not on an easy path. It is a journey that can only be taken moment by moment and seldom makes sense. If it would serve you in any way without question I know that my niece Alicia and our no longer bald headed but-still a little buddha, Connor, would love to connect with you and offer support. We ended up driving through the Medical Center (Houston) this past Thursday and it was such a privilege to pray for Connor as we drove by the Cancer Center. I believe in positive energy! I also know that "energy produces energy". I go to a friend and she always complains of hurts and having no energy. I keep telling her that, if nothing else, she should stand up and at least walk to the front door and back every 30 Minutes or so, and, I added, if you keep doing that you might feel like doing it twice. I am new to Conner's site, but wanted to say "hello". I am Charli Ann Preister's grandma (Charli was diagnosed 3/2007 with neuroblastoma at 7 months) and is currently NED, although the tumor is still lurking. Often the Lord directs me to various sites and today it was Conner. I try to pray specifically for each child I come across and am doing what I can to bring awareness to childhood cancer to those around me. God Bless you. Charli's Grandma
