Welcome to Collin Canada's web site. This picture was taken in Destin, Florida the summer of 2002. Collin is with his two older brothers, Kyle and Cameron. He is a wonderful happy little boy of six years old who on January 24th, 2003 was diagnosed with a Rhabdoid Brain Tumor also known as AT/RT. This page was created to keep all of our incredible family and friends updated on his treatment and progress.

Hi There!

I hope that everyone is having a wonderful Christmas and New Year holiday.

The last MRI, 3 months ago was stable.
One surgeon saw something on the MRI of the spine, but said it was probably nothing. However, they have ordered a repeat of the spine for this next round. Normally it is only done every other round. But better to stay on top of it.

MRI is scheduled for Monday morning January 2nd. Please keep those prayers coming. He has been off chemo for 11 months now. 10 to 11 months seems to be a very scary number in the brain tumor world. If he remains stable we hope to pull him off the Thalidomide. It is a nasty drug and I can't wait till he can be finished with it.

I think the last time a wrote, Collin was having more seizures. I am happy to report that after adding another med called Keppra, other than an intial seizure right after the change, which often happens with change, we have not seen a seizure in 3 months!!!

I'll try to update when we find out about the MRI.
