HELP ST. JUDE BY CREATING A PEPPER AT CHILI'S TO FIGHT CHILDHOOD CANCER!!!!

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Chili’s Grill & Bar® announced the kick-off of their fifth annual Create-A-Pepper to Fight Childhood Cancer campaign. Now through September 30, Chili’s restaurants around the country and, for the first time, in Puerto Rico, are marking National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month by inviting people to get creative and raise funds to help St. Jude find cures and save children with cancer and other catastrophic childhood diseases.
Guests at participating Chili’s restaurants can contribute to St. Jude in multiple ways:

- Make a donation to St. Jude and receive a Create-A-Pepper chili pepper coloring sheet designed for display at restaurants during the month.

- Purchase Create-A-Pepper T-shirts that can be customized with permanent marker.

- Buy a customized Create-A-Pepper key that can be cut for use at home or the office.

- Eat at Chili’s on Monday, Sept. 29, when Chili’s will donate 100 percent of profits from participating restaurant sales to St. Jude.

Visit www.createapepper.com and to make an online donation.

PASS IT AROUND!!!!

GET YOUR FRIENDS/FAMILY TOGETHER!!! TRUST ME ITS SUCH AN AMAZING CAUSE :)

I also know that Carson is really lucky to have you as his big sister. You are both very very special, and I am sure that your mommy and daddy are very proud, and lucky to have great kids like you, and Carson.

Hi Christina,
So it's May now is your baby brother coming soon? hope everything is going well!
Here's a Mother's Day Poem for your Mommy and Grandma~

WONDERFUL MOTHER

God made a wonderful mother,
A mother who never grows old;
He made her smile of the sunshine,
And He moulded her heart of pure gold;
In her eyes He placed bright shining stars,
In her cheeks fair roses you see;
God made a wonderful mother,
And He gave that dear mother to me.

~By Pat O'Reilly~

Make sure you tell us when your baby brother arrives!
Check on you soon!

What a lovely journal and story of Christina. Congratulations on making it through your first year. My daughter (who will be three next month) was diagnosed a month ago and, like yourself, when you celebrated your daughter's third birthday, I never would have imagined that I would be celebrating my daughter's birthday with cat scans and medical tests and ongoing chemo (literally, on the day of her birthday - they did try to avoid it but....). As a mom, I liked the time frame on the hair. Silly, I keep on feeling my daughter's hair when she is sleeping.

My best wishes and prayers to you for your beautiful daughter and to your family. And your new addition.

I don't have to tell you that each day is a gift and Christina is your angel. I will pray for her and that she will be fully recovered! God Bless Christina!

Our son who turned 2 in November was diagnosed with Wilms on Jan 6/03. He was originally diagnosed as Stage 2 but had been recently down graded to Stage 3.

It helps to have an outlet for parents who are going through the same crisis.

Hi Christina & Family
What a brave little girl you are. My son Nicholas was diagnosed with bilateral Wilms tumor at 12 months. He is now 23 months old. He had his right kidney, a football size tumor and 2/3 of his left kidney removed. He had 7 days of radiation and relapsed during chemo. He is on a 72 week chemo relapse protocol which should be over by June 2004.

Hi Christina

you are such a trooper to be strong going through all of your treatments. my little girl Christie also had Wilm's tumor. We found the tumor on her 2nd birthday. Happy Birthday?? She lost her left kidney and lymph nodes too. stage II. She had the same chem and radiation treatment you had. Lost all of her hair. She is now 1 year cancer free. Her hair has grown back, though different colour and texture. She is soo energetic and full of life now. Has a fantastic appetite. I will be praying for you, as I pray for her. all the best. If you want to write to her please feel free.

My little boy, Ben, was diagnosed on the very same day as you. At first, they thought he had a Wilms tumor too, but we found out his tumor is different. He also had to have his left kidney and lymph nodes removed. Ben and I love to look at your pictures and to check on your progress. Like you, Ben has 2 more treatments to go. You guys my heroes.

If you want to, you can check out Ben's page - www.caringbridge.org/tx/benmager.

My daughter in Minnesota just called me on Thursday, Oct. 31, to tell me my granddaughter was diagnosed with Wilm's tumor. She had been bleeding vaginally for over a month, and this was the final diagnosis. We were all totally unprepared for this. Zoe is 20 months old, and lives near Rochester, Minnesota. She is scheduled for surgery on Tuesday morning at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester to remove her right kidney. The tumor is about four times the size of her kidney, but we are praying that with removal and chemotherapy, she will be a success story. Please keep Zoe in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you.

You are being prayed for by a group of Christians in South Carolina. Live each day by the Word and promises of God, including this one: "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope" (Jeremiah 29:11). The peace of the Lord be with you always.

I asked the Lord to bless you

As I prayed for you today

To guide you and protect you

As you go along your way....

His love is always with you

His promises are true,

And when we give Him all our cares

You know He will see us through

So when the road you're traveling on,

Seems difficult at best

Just remember, I'm here praying

And God will do the rest.

Dear Christina and Family,
You are very, very precious to many wonderful people. God has placed each of you here on this earth for very special reasons. His ways are not always clear to us but one thing is for certain, He is a good and loving Father and He is still in control no matter what the circumstances say. To be there and support each other and to love each other is a wonder blessing that many people do not have. I am so glad you have each other. Dot, keep up the good work your doing on the web site. It is awesome! It has helped me to get caught up and know what direction to pray in. I am in sincere and earnest prayer for each of you.
Your Sister in Christ.

Our prayers are with you and your family, Christina. God loves his children so much and we all have faith that He will send his angels down to replace all of your malfuctioning parts, from his (body parts) warehouse. Remember faith is everything, I had people lay hands on me to pray for a new spine for me after I was diagnosed with having a herniated disk and was told that I would have to have surgery. I was in horrible pain and could not walk. After I was prayed over and asked for my new spine, I fully recovered and have never had back problems since.........Praise God! I know that God can do the same for Christina, just have faith and know what to ask for.
My best friend once had her 5 month old baby girl in the hospital with spinal meningitis and her future looked grim, a few of us went into her hospital room and layed hands on her and prayed for her healing. At the time she was weak, frail and had a very high fever. The next morning the doctors could not find anything wrong with her and sent her home! These are true testimonials of God's miracles. Christina can and will be healed in Jesus's name! Faith my dear, Faith.

I WILL BE PRAYING FOR ALL OF YOU. I LOST MY LITTLE BOY IN MAY, 1997. HE WOULD HAVE TURNED 2 IN JUNE. I KNOW ONE THING FROM LOSING MY LITTLE BOY, AND THAT IS GOD HAS THE POWER TO HEAL ALL THINGS FROM SICKNESS TO GRIEF. TRY TO REMAIN STRONG AND LEAN ON GOD. HE LOVES YOU.

Keep your head up and know that HE only gives you what you can handle. It seems like so much right now, but in the end, you will all be much stronger for what you have gone through. Praying for you!
