Brian

Brian was born June 10, 2003. He lost his amniotic fluid at 16 weeks gestation. He was born at 25 weeks with very little lung development due to the loss of fluid. Brian was in the hospital for 9 months. He came home with a trach and g-tube. He was on a home ventilator until 15 months old. He is now 4 and has had his trach removed. Brian has a 14 year old sister, Breanna. A brother, David, who is 11. Brian also has a brother, Christopher. Brian and Christopher are surviving triplets. Their sister, Brooke, passed away July 11, 2003 from a heart defect.

God has been very good to our family and we know Brian would not be where he is today without a lot of prayer from our family and friends.

Friday, August 8, 2008 8:49 PM CDT

Brian has been sick this week. We are still having a lot of trouble with his right ear. He is on his second round of antibiotics and more ear drops. I am out of ideas. I don't know how to keep his ear clear unless we put drops in continually. He also had a sore throat and a fever this week, which he passed on to me. It has not been a lot of fun around here.

I start back to work this week, so I hope we have all of this straightened out by next week. There will be a lot of changes at my school this year. I will be teaching 3 levels of 7th grade math, so that will add to my work load. Of the five teachers whose team I joined last year, only one is left besides me. It should be very interesting.

Everyone else is doing fine. Breanna is finishing up driver's ed. and has started band practice. David is bored, but says he doesn't want to start shcool.
