diagnoised with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on August 17,2004 and sent
to St Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis on August 19,2004 where he would began weeks of ongoing treatments to get him into remission. Tyler had many complications with having three PICC lines and then a Fourth Hickman line placed on Sept 14,2004. Not only did Tyler have to face all the upcoming chemo treatments but also got a fungal infection called Candida.Tyler finally made it through the Induction phase with pretty much the entire time in the hospital. Consolidation Treatment went well, TYLER IS IN REMISSION AS OF OCT 12th !!! HORRAY!!! with only little time in the hospital but still daily medicines in the Medicine Room for the fungal infection.Since Tyler got the fungal infection we have remained in Memphis at The Target House which Tyler loves the XBOX and the Pool Table ( Thanks Target House!!!!) From our inital plans of being in Memphis for six weeks has turned into months. Not only is Tyler having to adjust Trey has as well (Tyler's Big Brother). Tyler has completed Continuation Phase,Reinduction I,Reinduction II, and has finally began the Continuation Maintenance Phase and the Fungal Infection is now gone as of May 16,2005. Tyler had his Hickman line Removed on May 17,2005 (My Birthday) and had a Subcuaneous Port replaced this, Now Tyler will be able to enjoy swimming and riding his dirt bike. On Thursday May 19,2005 we were able to leave Memphis (we have been here for NINE months). Tyler will began Treatment at home at the Johnson City Medical Center which is a St Jude Affiliate and continue to make monthly trips back to Memphis.

Wow I don't know if anyone is still reading this but if so, Tyler is doing Great! He just had a wonderful Christmas, with Me and his big Brother Trey. Tyler is now enjoying 3rd grade and playing basketball.Things are great with Tyler, we visited Memphis in the summer and got great reports and visited with Dr K in Sept and had a wonderful report from him, We will see Dr K in March 2009 and travel to Memphis i Oct 2009. Just wanted to wish everyone a very HAPPY NEW YEAR!
