Welcome to Rhonda's Web Page. It has been provided to keep you updated and informed on the status of Rhonda's Stem Cell Transplant. Rhonda had Hypereosinophilia which caused Myelofibrosis (Agnogenic Myeloid Metaplasia-AMM), a degenerative bone marrow disease, which was leading into Acute Myeloid Leukemia. She had her transplant on Dec 26, 2003 which marked day zero and the beginning of her healing.
In January 2005 she relapsed with the myelofibrosis and later transformed into AML. After induction chemo she was recovering and hopefully in remission. Read the journal history to get the full story.
Rhonda went to her home in heaven Thursday July 21, 2005 after a long hard fought and brave fight. She was a wonderful example to all of us and will be missed greatly. Right now she is perfect.

Friday, October 2, 2009 10:14 AM CDT Hello all,
For those of you who still occasionally check in, my apologies for not updating sooner. We are all doing fine and are staying busy. Hannah Renee is continuing as home school teacher to Hannah Grace, Faith, Haley, and Robert as well as taking care of the rest of us. She is amazing. Andrew is a junior now and playing football and loving it. He is also driving and so far so good! He also has a sweetheart. Caleb started his first year of high school and seems to like the transition. He is growing up to be as tall as me and will pass me up soon. Both the boys and the girls are doing exceptionally well in school and we are proud of them. Deborah Anne is now 14 months old and stealing the show every chance she gets. What a wonderful blessing it is to have a toddler in our house. God continues to bring us through Rhonda’s death with amazing grace and healing. I think about her daily and the kids put roses on her grave on her birthday (no tears). They have adjusted well. We are now in the midst of the teenage years and face the same challenges everyone else does. I don’t always make the best choices and am still learning. Pray for us! All in all we are blessed and glad to be able to say so. I come back to the quote that started us on this journey. “There is no basis for discontent once we get over the silly notion of how things ought to be.” I am most miserable when I think about how things should be different instead of thanking God for where I am and doing the things I need to do to improve the situation and appreciating the blessings of life.
Thanks to all of you who prayed for us and continue to do so.
Love in Christ, Brian
