Unfortunately her passing came sooner than we had expected, but longer than any of her doctors expected. Another angel takes flight. My daughter Pam had a brain tumor and was fighting the fight since November 4th, 2002, after the birth of her daughter (Casey Morgan). My youngest daughter, Karen, set up a caringbridge website for Pam. Karen's friends mother shared a prayer with us, that I would like to share with you and Manny. It's called DON'T QUIT: Don't Quit - When things go wrong, as they sometimes will, When the road you're trudging seems all uphill, When the funds are low and the debts are high, and you want to smile, but you have to sigh, When care is pressing you down a bit - Rest if you must, but do not quit. Life is queer with its twists and turns, As every one of us sometimes learns, And many a fellow turns about, When he might have won had he stuck it out. Don't give up though the pace seems slow - You may succeed with another blow. Although we don't know exactly how you feel, we have been wrestling with the same issue...Noah's eyes are always rolled back or to the side, sometimes one is looking up and the other to the side and they aren't even together. We are not certain that he can see either, but we think he can hear because he sometimes seems to have a startle reflex with loud noises, but to what degree, we don't know. This is such devastating news, but we know, after having endured so much with Noah who is now 150 days post transplant/ 80 days post boost and not home yet, that anything is possible. We can relate to the disappointing feeling of not getting the news that you want to hear, news that absolutely rips your heart out, and we will pray that you receive no more bad news. We will certainly keep you in our thoughts and prayers more than ever, and will mention your need on Noah's page. Did you receive the book we dropped off for Manny? We wrote a special message in the front for him. I know it is sort of a stupid phrase since there really is no other option, but Hang in there.
