Isaiah 40:28-31 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Hebrews 6:17-20 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

Isaiah 53:7-10: He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

Not sure of the author, and I know it says "disabilities" but YOU came to mind when I read it. Sorry your trip landed you in Holland, but you have been one tough cookie to have survived the trip! I think of you (and DAK) often, and pray for you each time! Hope things are going well and would love to see ya soon!

Welcome To Holland....Part One

I am often asked to describe the experience of raising a child with a disability – to try to help people who have not shared that unique experience to understand it, to imagine how it would feel. It’s like this…

When you’re going to have a baby, it’s like planning a fabulous vacation trip – to Italy. You buy a bunch of guide books and make your won...derful plans. The coliseum. The Michelangelo David. The gondolas in Venice. You may learn some handy phrases in Italian. It’s all very exciting.

After months of eager anticipation, the day finally arrives. You pack your bags and off you go. Several hours later, the plane lands. The stewardess comes in and says, “Welcome To Holland”.

“Holland?!?” you say, “What do you mean “Holland”??? I signed up for Italy! I’m supposed to be in Italy. All my life I’ve dreamed of going to Italy”

But there’s been a change in the flight plan. They’ve landed in Holland and there you must stay.

The important thing is that they haven’t taken you to a horrible, disgusting, filthy place, full of pestilence, famine and disease. It’s just a different place.

So you must go and buy new guide books. And you must learn a whole new language. And you will meet a whole new group of people you would never have met.

It’s just a different place. It’s slower-paced than Italy, less flashy than Italy. But after you’ve been there for a while and you catch your breath, you look around…and you begin to notice that Holland has windmills…Holland has tulips. Holland even has Rembrandts.

But everyone you know is busy coming and going from Italy…and they’re all bragging about what a wonderful time they had there. And for the rest of your life, you will say “Yes that’s where I was supposed to go. That’s what I had planned”.

And the pain of that will never, ever, ever, ever go away…because the loss of that dream is a very significant loss.

But…if you spend your life mourning the fact that you didn’t get to Italy, you may never be free to enjoy the very special, the very lovely things…about Holland

Celebrating Holland Part 2

CELEBRATING HOLLAND - I'M HOME

I have been in Holland for over 3 years now. It has become home. I have had time to catch my breath, to settle and adjust, to accept something different than I'd planned. I reflect back on those years of past when I had first landed in Holland. I remember clearly my shock, my fear, my anger, the pain and uncertainty. ......In those first few years, I tried to get back to Italy as planned, but Holland was where I was to stay. Today, I can say how far I have come on this unexpected journey. I have learned so much more. But, this too has been a journey of time.

I worked hard. I bought new guidebooks. I learned a new language and I slowly found my way around this new land. I have met others whose plans had changed like mine, and who could share my experience. We supported one another and some have become very special friends.

Some of these fellow travelers had been in Holland longer than I and were seasoned guides, assisting me along the way. Many have encouraged me. Many have taught me to open my eyes to the wonder and gifts to behold in this new land. I have discovered a community of caring. Holland

Still praying in Seattle!
Psalms 5:1-3 Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation. Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray. My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

Know that I'm still here praying!
Psalms 40:1-4 I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.

Happy Birthday Dakota!!! I was talking with your mom earlier today and told her how beautiful it was outside. I said our boys were so sweet here on earth that is why god took you from us, because he needed you in heaven. I said you guys must be having one hell of a party. I sure hope it was great and can't wait until we are all together again to celebrate with you. Me and your mom have lots of parties to make up for. Please give Brandon a hug and kiss from his mom. I know you guys are getting pretty old to have hugs and kisses from your mom, but I think it is ok for us.
Happy 19th Birthday !!! love you lots

Lannete,
I know we were texting earlier today, but just wanted to leave Dakota a message on his birthday and again let you know you have extra hugs and kisses coming to you today.

Psalms 46:1-5 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. Please let me know about next year.

Psalms 116:1-5 I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live. The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow. Then called I upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver my soul. Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful.

Romans 8:26-28 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

1. I fall asleep in Jesus' wounds,
There pardon for my sins abounds;
Yea, Jesus' blood and righteousness
My jewels are, my glorious dress.
In these before my God I'll stand
When I shall reach the heavenly land.

2. With peace and joy I now depart;
God's child I am with all my heart.
I thank thee, Death, thou leadest me
To that true life where I would be.
So cleansed by Christ, I fear not death.

Dear grandchildren, First time we seen the guest book since Dakota died. Our old internet service got where it would not open the guest book. We have new service that works. You sure had a lot of nice letters. Glad you heard from Mr. Wayne as we haven't heard from him in over a year. Due to our health, we were not able to go to Jackie's for Christmas or Thanksgiving, infact I was not able to do any Christmas shopping. Granpa had pneumonia and had to go to the hospital in an ambulance. It takes both of us now to do the house work. I been sick at my stomach and very weak for over a month, some of my friends thinks it could be from eating those Austin peanut butter crackers which have been taken off the market. They were one of the few things I could eat since my cancer ( I would eat three and four packages a day). We haven't been able to go to church in four months, I sure do miss it. Uncle Glen is taking chemo most every day. Aunt Ruth has been in the hospital four times in the past three months. Take care, grandma loves you.

Dearest Lannette,
Our computer has been down and we have jsut gotten back online. I just wanted to check in on you all. I'm so glad your resolutions go by your feelings and are not governed by others! Nobody has the right to ever tell another person how to feel or grieve. Not ever. And who the hell needs to be 'brave' during this process, which will last a lifetime. Resolving to do things your way is huge. And nobody that has never been through losing a child has any right to 'expect' anything nor do those who have lost a child...there are no rules or regulations written on the how and when. For each person, just as each snowflake is designed different, there is a unique and individual process. You remain one of the very best mother's I have had the honor of knowing. Love you.

I hope your day will not be filled with sorrow, Dakota would not be happy with that. Listen to Him so that you can feel an inner peace and find great joy in the videos and pictures that keep Dak with you always.
We love you oh so very much.
Dak, We love you and miss you and think of you EVERYDAY, but you already know that! Yesterday I was listening to the radio and your song, "What a Wonderful World" was played and then next was Deena's favorite, "I Can Only Imagine". Thank you for that and give Deena a big hug for me.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you Lannette and Ted.

A brand new year stands before us. Sometimes a new year is very hard to face (as you said here...there's just something about heading into a new year without a loved one). Other times a new year is welcomed with open arms, with hopes that it will be better than the last one was. However you look at it, know that every day of this new year is in the Lord's Hands. He's already there waiting for you with open arms. And I'm here praying as always.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

Hi Lanette,
I haven't talked to you in a longtime. My computer was down and my address book was I thought deleted then I found it. Cuz I thought the repair guys deleted it. But, anyway, here I am... I recieved your email about the Bill they want to pass about the Brain Tumor HR 7153 and I thought I would write you and see how you are doing?

We are ok. Savannah is doing chemo again, Temodar for a year. They may want to add an IV chemo in a couple months after her MRI. She just got done with radiation and Temodar on 9/8/08 for 6 and a half weeks. After having a year off. They just let her have a break even tho the tumor was growing but, it was growing slowly. They say now it will never go away... she has 2 more tumors as well. They are marble in size. Looks like dr. could just go pluck them em out but, I guess cuz they are surrounded by CSF it's not that easy. But, every time now that it grows it's going to grow back more aggressive. That was great news! I'm really sick of cancer and all that it causes my daughter, I would gladly take it from her!!! Even tho she handles it better than most adults I've seen but, even so, I would. She started kindergarten this year during radiation... so, hopefully she's going to continue with it. She loves the interaction with the other kids. It makes her feel like a normal kid. Anyway, her site is www.caringbridge.org/visit/savingvanna

I hope you are doing ok. I'm so sorry about Dakota and his passing. I know he is with you always. I don't know what to say to make you feel better except that I can listen to you. Cuz I don't know how you feel. I know what it's like to have a child with terminal cancer and that I am in denial about what may lie ahead in our future. And that is where I am at, cuz I don't want to talk about the other side of that. God could still work a miracle for Savannah!!! I keep praying for it. We will keep praying for you and your family to get through this difficult time cuz I know the pain will never go away... so, we will pray forever.

Your friend,
Savannah's mom,
Jodi

Lannette,

You are correct-we who have not been there, don't understand. At least not to the degree that you and others who have traveled that journey have. However, even when we say the wrong things... Even when we put our foot in our mouth... Even when we don't say anything... Could it be that we are doing the best job we know how? I think some are. And there are some who, bless their heart, are just born to create havoc and chaos in how they live and what they say.

I would never insult you or Ted by trying to tell you what I do or do not know. I will tell you that your son continues to inspire me greatly because of the person he was and continues to be! I wish to God that his journey could have continued on this earth in a physical presence. I know he continues to make a journey in the hearts of many, many individuals throughout the world. Most of those individuals only know Dakota through this web site. Others, like myself, had the blessed opportunity of meeting him in person.

I hope and pray that God will touch your heart in a way that helps you through days without Dakota. Thank you for letting us know your son and family.

In Christian love,
Mr. Wayne

Look to the Lord for strength, whatever the future holds! Oh how I'm praying!
2 Corinthians 12:9-10 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

Lanette, Marg here. Just read your update. I know what it is like to lose a child too, even if not from The Beast. It has been more than 2 1/2 years since Carl died but it can still be so raw, and there are still 'firsts' that you don't anticipate. Like Maidie having to have her long term effects tests at the hospital where my boy precious boy died. We were really broken on Wed, standing outside the door to the emergency dept just crying....On a brighter note, I did some weeding at the site of the car crash yesterday, and underneath all that couch grass are the tiny tips of the daffodil shoots that we planted more than two years ago. I am so looking forward to seeing their jaunty yellow heads in a months time - they make me smile. My heart goes out to all mothers who have lost their precious children. You are right, nothing can prepare you for it, and noone else can know the pain in our hearts or the thoughts in our heads. I am so glad you have someone special in your life.

Thanks for the update! Touched my heart so much...
This whole psalm is so good for all who are overwhelmed. Continuing to pray!
Psalms 102:1-2 ((A Prayer of the afflicted, when he is overwhelmed, and poureth out his complaint before the LORD.)) Hear my prayer, O LORD, and let my cry come unto thee. Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; incline thine ear unto me: in the day when I call answer me speedily.

Hi La La,

Dakota's SPECTACULAR Day at the lake was just that SPECTACULAR! To see Kama, as sick as she felt, push herself to do everything was a joy to be a part of. Kama had been in an out of the hospital for over a month and our Carowinds trip(and Camp) was the "carrot" that kept Kama fighting to get better! Cancer is the most EVIL of diseases, it robs these precious children of so much! Events like yours, full of love, activites and SURPISES are as critical to these children as the medicines they take. Please extend a HUGE Thank you to your generous, loving friends for a "day full of memories". Please tell John, the kids sang his CANCER SUCKS song all day Friday at Carowinds and on the ride home..they LOVED it! WE can't wait until next year!!! Much Love to you and Ted (I think he is pretty fabulous too!) and your many friends and family!

Well hey there Lala. just got done reading your letter, and i can say i couldn't feel any better on what i just read. Dakota had (and still has) the ability to bring out the best in every single person, even if they never met him. If everyone and anyone, in this world could have a fraction of his strength...just a fraction, nothing would be short of impossible.

Dakota effected people in many ways, some intentionally, and others not so much. However, the gifts and guidance he gave you made you all the more a better person.

You will always, and i mean, always have someone there for you. You are a remarkably stong person, with good intentions. but every now and then, dont be affraid to lean on someone who is there for you when you need it most.

Ted and Lannette,

"...i have NO doubt the two of you could have made such a great change in this world of ours." (reference to Dakota and Jake.)

Lannette, please accept these words from the heart even though they may not make sense. Dakota DID and DOES continue to influence the world around us! I am amazed every day at the impact young people have on those around them because of they way they live, the character of their life, and their ability at such a young age to be so mature in their words and actions. And it really doesn't amaze me at all when I understand that God uses people in this world to reach out and share his love. God HAS an amazing warrior in Dakota! I almost get this vision of God choosing those to help him like someone choosing just the right apple out of a bunch. It has to be just right with no imperfections. God found the right individual when he allowed Dakota to share his life even to the ultimate sacrifice. Notice I said, "allowed". I don't believe God chose Dakota's path. I don't believe he put cancer in his journey. Those are part of our imperfect world. However, God took full use of Dakota's character to allow him to be his ambassador during his journey.

There isn't a preacher in any church who will reach into the hearts of man like Dakota does. There isn't a movie star, singer, or other personality, who will impact the lives of ordinary people like Dakota does. And I'm pretty sure there aren't many parents any more proud of their child than you are.

"Many people will walk in and out of you life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart." (Author unknown) This may not be the best description I can give for Dakota, but it comes pretty close.

May God give you the peace and comfort to take one day at a time realizing that your son is his ambassador and will be for a long time!

In Christian love,
Mr. Wayne

Happy 17th Birthday Dakota! I can only imagine what kind of day you have had up in heaven with your dad, Brandon, and everyone else. I know it had to be big. I know your mom is having a really hard time today without you here. We know we told you guys that we would still live without you, but it is very hard and very sad especially on days like today. Mom's should just have their children here with them to party and celebrate. Please if you can visit your mom today and let her know you are around. I also need a favor please talk to Brandon and have him come visit me. I know you guys are having fun, but just please remember us that are left behind.

I so get what you are saying. My heart is just broken and I know yours is too. I also ? myself by not fixing Brandon then in the same breath I tell myself that I could not change anything and we did all we could have. I think what it boils down to is that we just want our boys back and we just want to fix what is going on in our lives and we cant. Please know that you are such a great friend and I do believe that is one thing that we gained from our boys getting sick. It is the one thing I feel good about. Lanette, I read every word and I swear I could almost feel the pain behind each letter you typed. I say almost because the only person who can truly feel that pain is a mother who has lost her baby, too. The sleep thing really hit home for me. It took me almost two years to start sleeping again. Unfortunately, there are no easy answers, miracle drugs or any other crap I can offer you. I wish I could say something more meaningful. Jesus understands suffering. Praying right now!
Hebrews 2:9-10 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. No matter what life brings, no matter how dark it gets, we always have hope in the Lord! Praying!
Lamentations 3:21-26 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

We read this psalm at our Lenten service tonight. I wanted to share a portion of it with you. Praying!

Sorry I've been away from the computer for a few days. Still been praying but wanted to share such special verses that remind us all that much more importantly the Holy Spirit Himself is praying for each of us perfectly according to His Will.
Romans 8:26-27 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Know that I'm still here praying!
Psalms 36:5-7 Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds. Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast. How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.

Continuing to pray!
Psalms 34:15, 17-19 The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry...The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all. He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.

Hey Dakota.

Your mom's letter listed so many loved ones that are sharing the wonders of Heaven with you and Mamie. I haven't met any of those listed - yet. I suspect that some of them may be little furry friends. I'm sure a lot of them are other children who fought the same battle that you and Mamie did.

It's hard for anyone to believe it has been a year. It seems so long to those who remained behind, but it means one less year of waiting to join you. To you it must seem like barely a moment, having just begun eternity where there is no pain, fear, or sadness.

Lala, couple Sundays ago Bobby sang this beautiful song by David Crowder and I thought of you. Did a searcha nd found the words for you. Without a doubt, Dakota is with our heavenly father and I believe that if he could say one thing to you (other than just how much he loves you and wants you to find happiness) it would be "it'll be alright".

You should see the stars tonight
how they shimmer shine so bright
against the black they look so white
comin' down from such a height
to reach me now, to reach me now

you should see the moon in flight
cuttin' cross the misty night
softly dancin' in sunshine
reflections of this light
reach me now, you reach me now

and how could such a thing
shine its light on me
and make everything beautiful again

and you should feel the sun in spring
comin' out after a rain
suddenly all is green
sunshine on everything
i can feel it now, i feel you now

and how could such a thing
shine its light on me
and make everything beautiful

and you should hear the angels sing
all gathered around their king
more beautiful than you could dream
i've been quietly listening
you can hear 'em now, i hear 'em now

and how could such a king
shine His light on me
and make everything beautiful
and i wanna shine
i wanna be a light
i wanna tell you it'll be alright
and i wanna shine and i wanna fly
just to tell you now
it'll be alright, it'll be alright
it'll be alright

cuz i got nothing of my own to give to you
but this light that shines on me shines on you
and makes everything beautiful again
it'll be alright, it'll be alright

You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Much love!

Dakota I cannot not believe you have been in heaven for a year already. I prayed so hard for you and Brandon both to get healed from cancer and be able to stay here with your mom and me. For some reason that was not gods plan. I know you both are in heaven cancer free running around like 16 yr old boys should be. It is just so hard for your mom and I to not be able to see you guys, talk to you guys and have you talk back to us and to be able to hold you and kiss you. We miss you so much. The world was a better place with both of you here. You were the sweetest boys we could ever ask for. Until we are in heaven with you both again. Please have fun with each other in heaven and look over your mother and I. We need you and Brandon to give us the strength to get thru everyday. I love and miss you. I know it is not cool for boys to hug and kiss each other, but in this case it is ok. Please give Brandon a big hug and kiss from me and tell him I love and miss him very much.
Lannette,
Your tribute was awesome. The words could not be written any better. I know any mom that is going thru what we are going thru would totally understand and would love one more day like the day you described. I have thought of you all day with some extra prayers. I'm here if you need me. Love ya lots.

Dear Sweet Lanette, we met at the hospital when Brandon was passing. I was amazed at the love and comfort you brought Anita and Scott during such a rough time, and knowing you were hurting just as much made it even deeper. As I have told Anita, I have no way of really understanding your grief, but know that my prayers are with all of you daily and that I care about each of you. I have never admired anyone so much in my life as I do you and the Elams. I know today is a special day for you, and just know you are prayed and cared for. I feel honored to have met another ^angel's^ mom. God Bless you and all your family.

Hi, Lannette. One year. Is that even possible? On one hand I can't believe it's been THAT LONG, and on the other I can't believe it's only been a year. Time is so skewed anymore.

Dakota's shining smile still greets me each morning on the "Wall of Courage" I still have in my kitchen. And, I will light an extra candle for Dakota and keep it burning today, next to Jessica's. Today is seven months since Jessica's been gone.

Lannette, you and Dakota have been an inspiration to me since the first time I ever Googled "pediatric brain tumor" back in May of 2006. I am glad that you continue to stay in touch and that you continue to share your memories of of Dakota with us all.

I wish you a peaceful day, filled with sweet thoughts and visions of your Angel.

You have given the world Dakota, and for that it is a better place to live. He has touched so many hearts and souls, and continues to do so. Your love, dedication and determination gives us inspiration to be better parents. To be better friends, and to be better forces for our children who have brain tumors. You are a hero, even if you do not wish to be one. Dakota is loved, and will be loved forever, even by those who were never lucky enough to meet him in person. My arms are wrapped around you today. The entire brain tumor family wraps their arms around you.

Lannette,
You are in my prayers with special intentions today. I cannot imagine your heartache as you look at the date knowing that it was one year ago that your baby boy went ahead of you into Jesus' loving arms. I read your words and heard your heart speaking loud and clear! Your words have wings and must be flying straight to your sweet Dakota! We can only imagine his celebration of life in heaven and how he must be looking at you, ever so proud to call you MOM...his MOM...his AMAZING MOM...and how he must be thanking Jesus for giving YOU to him...and asking Jesus how He knew that YOU were the MOST PERFECT MOM THAT HE COULD EVER WANT! He knows in his heart that he will see you again soon and that HIS PERFECT MOM IS CONTINUING TO CHANGE HEARTS ON EARTH!
Love and prayers,

Oh Lannette...I know there are no words to make you feel 'all' better. There is nothing anyone can do unless they find away to bring Dakota back. I love you. You know I'm always here for you. And this has got to be one of the toughest periods with the year mark of Dakota's passing. The two of you clearly shared this bond that many people, no matter how they love...can't quite achieve...you could finish each sentences and you understood each others moods and days and nights and quirks...true soulmates...the pain is not just emotional, it's physical as well. Thank God Ted is so wonderful I know how important having someone be there is. You know you guys are in my prayers and heart..always.

Still praying!
Psalms 91:1-4 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
