I was just thinking about Bethany today. I cannot believe it will be five years next week. I haven't talked to Jill in a long time or anyone in the family. Just Bethany on my mind today... what a beautiful person she was and is! ... sending you guys lots of love.

After our Anna went to be with the Lord, the one single fact that kept me from practically going insane was that she, just as your precious Bethany, knew Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour. Praise the Lord!! That one thought comforts me over and over again. Without personally having met neither you nor Bethany, I can still be sure that among all that you miss about her, you miss most her kindness, compassion and love. There is something so special about these children. . . As the anniversary of Bethany's Homegoing approaches, we pray our Lord will abundantly bless you with His comfort and peace. We know your pain and we thank God we are able to share not only your grief but also His faithful and precious promise of Heaven.

What a beautiful post and lovely pictures! You were the first person to sign Ryan's CB guestbook, and your support in the beginning phase of our journey is still so appreciated. Thank you for being there through the "internet waves" and lifting us up in prayer. Thank you for your update, and yes, Bethany lives. God Bless...

Pam,
I am so glad to read your update! I have checked the site periodically over the past couple of years and wondered how you are doing. Those pictures of all the grandbabies are precious. We still remember Bethany here on the ONC unit.... Thank you so much for the update!

Dear Pam,

Thought about Bethany today and decided to check in and see how y'all were doing. It is so hard to believe that it's been four years now since she's been gone.

Sara's lupus is now in remission although she suffers now with chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia as a result of the lupus. She is still trying to finish her college degree online, and we are hopeful that will happen sometime next year.

I still vividly remember the night you were so kind to me, Pam, there at the ICU at Emory. Both of our girls in rooms side by side. You have no idea how much that meant to me then and still does today.

I have, in turn, passed that along to many others in similar circumstances as we found ourselves that night when you showed us how we could still stay in touch with our family and friends via the internet. So many families have you to thank for that. Bethany's love and spirit lives on through that simple act of kindness.

I am glad to hear how well you all are doing. And, wow! Five grandchildren and I remember the cry of the first over the cellphone that night! What a blessing it was to be able to sit there and share your joy. May 2007 be a wonderful year of love and joy for you and your family.

Hugs & prayers to you all on the anniversary that changed your lives forever. It must seem like a lifetime ago since you heard her voice or held her. Praying you feel Bethany looking over you.

Holding you close in prayer on the eve of the anniversary of Bethany's Homegoing. We know our grief never really goes away. It simply resurfaces unexpectedly with renewed strength tearing us apart with memories. Ahhh, but it is these same memories that hold us together. Our Lord works in such mysterious ways. How well He blends the bitter cup of sadness with the sweetness of expectant joy! Receive warm, knowing hugs from one who knows both your pain and your comfort.

In His Love,
Yolanda Rogers

Dear Mr. Hallmark,

I am writing to you from heaven, and though it must appear,
A rather strange idea, I see everything from here,
I just popped in to visit, your stores to find a card,
A card of love for my parents, as this day for them is hard,
There must be some mistake I thought, every card you can imagine,
except I could not find a card, from a child that lives in heaven,
they are still a parent too, no matter where I reside,
I had to leave, they understand, but oh the tears they cried,
I thought that if I wrote to you, that you would come to know,
that though I live in heaven now, I still love my parents so,
they talk with me, and dreams with me, we still share laughter too,
memories are our way of speaking now, would you see what you can do?
my parents carry me in their heart, their tears they hide from sight,
they plants flowers in my garden, there my living memory dwells,
they writes to other grieving parents, trying to ease there pain as well,
so you see Mr. Hallmark, though I no longer live on earth,
I must find a way, to remind her of her wondrous worth,
they need to be honored, and be remembered too,
just as the children of the earth will do,
thank you Mr. Hallmark, I know you will do your best,
find a way to tell them, how much they mean to me,
until I can do it for myself, when she joins me in eternity.

I know Christmas must be so hard for you although I can't comprehend how difficult it must be.

All my love,

Viks
