Hi Everyone

On Monday afternoon, 30th June at 5:45 pm our beautiful baby girl, Riley took her last breath and found her angel wings. She had a turn in the morning at about 7:30 am and we thought that we would lose her by about 9:00 am but she held on and held on and waited for all of the people that have been closest to her to get her and literally as the last person arrived she took her last breath.

We were at my brother Mike’s place at the Gold Coast when it happened. We came here on Thursday because she loved it so much here and we knew that she would feel better and be in less pain if she was somewhere that she loved. Even though she has been in a lot of pain over the past few weeks she still managed to want to get out and see as much as she could. Thankfully she went peacefully in her mummy’s arms with all the people that have been closet to her around her and she did not suffer from any pain. She opened her eyes and let me know that she was Ok right at the end – she was such a little champion and made sure that we were comfortable with it at the time. She lay in my arms all day and gave me cuddles and kept holding on to her life – I’m sure that she did that for me and for everyone so that they could be here. I now have the memory of cuddling my beautiful baby girl all day to make sure that she felt safe and loved and that is now how I will remember her forever.

When she died her mouth was slightly open and try as we might it would not stay closed, but when we went to check on her a little later her mouth was closed and she was smiling a beautiful little smile just like our Riley always did. She has had such an amazing life for the 2 years that we have been blessed with her and has touched so many lives with her determination, drive, strength, cheeky personality, fun and love for life. We are going to have a huge void in our lives now and we miss our little baby girl so much but I know that she is with us still and will be her mummy and daddyÂ’s little guardian angel forever.

We can see her now organising people and looking after all of the little babies and pussy cats in heaven. She is such a kind, gentle, maternal little soul and she obviously had a lot more work to do for others.

We have organised a funeral for her on Thursday at the Mt Gravatt Chapel in Brisbane and have asked that all who attend dress in one of the colours of the Wiggles – she would like that.

Riley also had a favourite flower which was a Blue Moon Rose. Craig bought me a Blue Moon rose plant one day as a present and showed Riley and told her the name of it and she never forget it and every time that we would walk past it she would say “Blue Moon there” as she pointed to it. So in memory of her we would ask that if you can get such a rose in the country that you live that you plant a Blue Moon Rose in your garden and when you look at it and think of her, think of her beautiful smile. We are pulling together a slide show and will send it to you all soon so that you can appreciate her beautiful little life.

Take Care
