I was first diagnosed with AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia) February 2011. After 3 rounds of intense chemotherapy I had my first bone marrow transplant 6/16/11 with my older sister's cells. In May 2013 I relapsed. I had to have chemotherapy again. I contracted C-diff, fungal pneumonia and a blood infection. I had my second bone marrow transplant on 11/13/13. Leukemia runs in my family. My Paternal Grandmother, Uncle and little sister all died from leukemia. I am the only one to survive. I am very grateful to be alive.
