We saw Barbara today too...what a wonderful, loving and VERY energetic lady!!! She gave us a Thanksgiving dinner and wants us to go to Disney for 6 days also. I'll be waiting to hear all about your trip when you get hom...call me!!!!

Dear Shanny and family.. My name is Pam Albridge and I also have a daughter named Shannon, who I call "my Shanny girl" My Shanny was born with hip dysplasia, which was discovered at 2 years of age. At 5 she had a bout of hemolitic anemia, which required another 2 weeks in the hospital. I am very lucky. Both times I was very afraid for my baby girl, but both times she recovered with no long lasting effects other than the scars that remind me of how lucky I really am. I know there isn't alot of time when caring for a sick child and a busy family but I would like to offer something that has benefited me greatly and brought me peace in times of great stress. There is a series of books by a man named Neale Donald Walsch called: "Conversations with God, an uncommon dialogue" Books 1, 2 and 3. Perhaps at night when things have quieted down a little... or while in the hospital endlessly waiting... mom and dad could find some comfort from the pages within. They truely are life altering books.

Hey Shanny sweetie, how are you doing? I hope you all are enjoying your summer! Did I ever tell you we found some bunnies in our backyard recently. Actually, our dog did - the kids were in the pool and she was barking like crazy under the pool deck. Finally when we checked there was a bunny nest with a baby bunny in it. Then after more looking through it we found 2 more. So since I have 3 kids and there was 3 bunnies, they each named one. We left lettuce and water and carrots out there but it was never touched so we dont think the mom came back. About 2 days later we took them in to feed them and we had them a week, feeding them kitten milk from a kitten bottle or dropper. They were SO cute! They called them Jean, Robin and Nibbles. My son Gooch called his Jean, named after Jean Smart in XMen. They opened their eyes while we had them and by the end of the week we had them they were running all over, more running than hopping. My husband was convinced they were going to grow up and bite our fingers off, so we turned them over to a Childrens Museum that is a wildlife rehab center near us. I hope they are being taken care of, if they werent already released. I know the kids loved them and they really were cute!! That was our thrill for the summer – hope you are enjoying yours!

Hay guys, So sorry to say we won't be there this month. Everything is still covered in white here. We have snow just about every day. The big one we had 52" in one day. A record even for us. Wish the kids could come play, they really could build a snowman that is 8 foot and not just Bradley size( smallest snowman ever 8"). You all are in our prayers. Hope to see you soon. Glad to hear Shannon is doing great! When I saw her for Megans birthday I was very impressed with how far she has come along. Thank you for the heads-up email about Shannon. I've been wondering how she and you have been doing. I lost track of you once you moved. Glad to hear that she is determined to keep on going.
