It was Shannon 1st Birthday when she tilted her head to the right as if she was being shy. Everyone at her party thought it was cute. However the next day Shannon continued to tilt her head every few minutes. Those minutes became seconds within a few weeks. Her continuous head tilt raised issues in her health and was scheduled for an MRI in May 2000. It was a beautiful summer day in April and hot too. I was teaching Shannon to swim. When i lifted her out of the water she started to have a seizer. It happened 3 times. I called her pediatrician that afternoon. That night Shannon was admitted to the hospital for test. On May 5th 2000 Shannon was diagnosed with a brainstem glioma. An inoperable brain tumor.

Feb., 27 2005 Wow, Sorry its been so long since an update. That is GOOD NEWS. Shannon will be turning 6 years old in just a couple of weeks. Our St. Patty's girl will have a party on Saturday 3-19-05. Shannon continues to attend Tavares Elem. She likes going to school most of the time. We are looking forward to having a great summer, but for now we are loving the spring. Shannon remains to be treatment free since 11-2003. Wow can you believe that. Thank you so much for praying for our family.
