Holly, you're in surgery as I write you this note. Gene and I are sending you, your surgeons and team, and your family, prayers and "all that is positive and healing"! This is coming from a not-so-practicing Catholic but I'm here to tell you I feel power hanging over ya'all in that operating room. Love you and sending hugs, Chris Chris Feronti <chris.c.feronti@msn.com> Houston, TX 77009 - Wednesday, August 21, 2013 1:51 PM CDT When I got to meet Rachel at Anna Maria College I knew she was special and then I heard her story and I knew she was brave. I only recently found out about this blog but I am so happy I did, Rachel, Mikey, John, you are all so amazing and reading this has inspired me to get on the bone marrow donation registry. I already donated blood but I can see now that, that is not enough. Rachel Hardy You are so brave, strong, and beautiful and I am glad to call you my friend. Emma Baker <ebaker94@yahoo.com> - Wednesday, March 6, 2013 10:45 PM CST Hi Cousin Rachael ~ Been a long while since visiting your home {2000} and then met up with you all in Minnesota. GOD is good and sends special people, like your marrow doner. I have lost your folks email address in one of my several computer crashes. My daughter, Erin, underwent a bone marrow transplant for FA last spring (in May) in Minneapolis. She is doing extremely well today (we thank God for that every single day!), however, I was beginning to slip back into "normal" mode, where it's easy to forget what we went through a year ago. In spite of how difficult the journey was through transplant, I never want to forget it, because it helps me remember what is truly important in life!
