A Note Of Thanks!!

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who is helping our family through these times. The list is endless. All the prayers, well wishes and cards have helped Jackie daily. Thanks to everyone at CLASS,and all of our family members and friends who are helping out from babysitting to support. Even people who don't know us well have offered prayers, support, hopes and cards.

Everyone in the Holmesburg Baptist community have offered continous support to our family. Their caring and generousity is an example of all the goodness in the human spirit.

All of the medical professionals from our home health aide to the Transplant Surgeon/and Transplant team are working constantly!

Thank you to everyone--most especially to our donor. For this family found the courage to use their greatest generosity during the worst time in their lives..Thank you!

All of you are contributing to helping our Jackie and it is deeply appreciated.

Journal

Today is Jackie's 3-year anniversary! It's hard to believe three years have passed since her live-saving surgery. Please remember to keep her donor's family in your prayers this week. I'm sure they're suffering just as much as they did three years ago. I'm still in awe of their generosity in their time of great pain.

Jackie's had a great year so far. Just check-ups. She's such a great big sis to her little brother ( who has kidney disease.) She tries to comfort him when he's going through things or when he has to get blood work done.

I still remember the first time she saw a nurse trying to do blood work on him. She stood in front of him with her arms wide open and yelled, "Don't you hurt my brother!"

Jackie is now in first grade! Amazing. She has no fear of anything and is just enjoying life and making friends. Today she brought in munchkins so that she could celebrate her anniversary with her classroom.

Here's to another great year with her liver!
