Thank you for visiting - I'd love it if you could sign the guestbook so I know you've been by!

You're listening to "The Bridge" by Elton John (very appropriate for Caringbridge).

Welcome to my website. It is here to keep you all updated about my progress with autoerythrocyte sensitivity and keratoconic corneas.

For those of you that aren't sure (which I guess is most of you), AES is a disorder that makes me bruise very easily. I have had a lot of trouble recently with my arms and legs, but am hoping things will improve very soon.

KC is a condition in my eyes that causes some visual impairment. I tried hard lenses but could not tolerate them. Now I just deal with the gradual reduction in my sight by getting new glasses as often as I can afford..

Many of you will know me as "the lady who does the banners". It's a project I'm very proud of but because od the light sensitivity in my eyes now, I have decided to stop. I apologise to anyone who was hoping for a banner from me.

Journal

Thursday, April 16, 2009 4:52 PM CDT

I can't believe how long it's been since I last added a journal entry.

I am pleased to say that nothing much has changed other than getting a little older and "wiser". I bought my own house - a three bed link near to my parents and I have a new car (a Mini Cooper).

Health wise, I still have the same constant battle against bruises but as you can see from my photos, I'm not letting that stop me. Sometimes you have to put up with a bit of pain if you want fun in life!

Life is hectic and time slips away so I have decided to stop updating this site now.

If anyone wants to be in touch with me I am on facebook too - please don't hesitate to drop me a line.
