Welcome to Brent's Web Site.
It has been created to keep family, friends, and other families updated about our "not-so-little" miracle.

Gentlemen, start your engines!! Brent went to his first Nascar race, it was the nationwide series at Kentucky and he loved it. He even met some GREAT drivers, check out the pictures.

Journal

July 2008

So many changes, Brent will be going to a new school this year, a 4th grader. If you go back to the first year of journal entries you would not believe something like this could be true. He will be 10 this October and his sister Becca will be 6 and in kindergarten.

Brent has been doing a great deal of work with speech therapy and it is paying off. He is talking in short sentences, answering some questions, and requesting what he wants. And beleive me when he want something EVERYONE will know about it. We recently took him to his first Nascar race and he loved it!! A few of the drivers came over to meet Brent and he was thrilled. The race was over sometime after 11 pm and he refused to leave. He just kept saying "c'mon boys, race race race" He stayed awake with mom on the ride home and just kept talking and laughing about his night. It was so neat to see him have such strong emotions about something he has grown to love. The next day he kept bringing me his shoes and saying racing!! He kept this up non-stop for about three days and after about two weeks he only requests it about five times a day instead of 50. Thank God we can now understand what he wants, and thank Danny Efland and Carl Edwards for making my son into a racing monster. Those are the two drivers who came over to meet Brent and who were generous enough to pose with the kids for pictures. Make sure you check them out.
