Welcome to Kyle's Web Page. It is our way of keeping our friends and family informed about Kyle's progress and also serves as a testament to his spirit and courage.
< PICTURES . . . IN THE MIDDLE PICTURE, AND THE BOTTOM ONE, KYLE WAS STILL ON TREATMENT. IN THE TOP PICTURE, HE HAD BEEN OFF TREATMENT FOR SEVERAL MONTHS.

Wednesday, July 4, 2007 4:54 PM CDT Happy Independence Day, Everyone!
Where did the last six months go since I updated this page? It certainly flew by . . .
We spent a lot of time in the Spring going to Mark's volleyball games, both home and away, tournaments, and playoffs. We didn't want to miss anything because it was his senior year. They had a fabulous season, culminating in an exciting victory at Penn State's Rec Hall on June 2. They won the state championship! It was so exciting and a lot of fun for all of us. We're very proud of Mark and the rest of the Exeter Eagles. Mark graduated from high school in June and will be going to Reading Area Community College in the fall.
Kyle had a very good 7th grade year and finished the year with a 91.918 grade point average. He missed his school's highest honors (92%), but he's a "Gold Eagle" in my eyes! His average for the last marking period was 95.626. Way to go, Kyle!
Kyle has been enjoying his summer. He goes to the playground every day for the organized activities and spends most afternoons at the pool. He played in two summer basketball leagues. The indoor league is over and the outdoor league is almost over. His outdoor league team won their last two games. Both were on Monday night and Kyle shot the winning basket of the second game at the "buzzer" - we thought the game was over but there were a few seconds left. The other team inbounded the ball, one of Kyle's team mates stole it and passed it to Kyle and he made the shot. They won by one point. It was very exciting.
Soon sports will be over until next winter. What will we do with all our free time?
It feels funny not to be making our annual summer trip to Camp Sunshine in Maine. We will go again when Kyle is 16 and can volunteer. Kyle will be attending CHOP's camp, Ronald McDonald camp in the Poconos, in August.
Have a great summer, Love, Sue and Kyle
