How It All Began
Journal
Thursday, November 13, 2008 11:34 AM CST Well, you can tell that Warren has redesigned our page... Warren had a good checkup this week! The doctor says he looks really healthy to him, and the blood test looks great! We talked about Warren lifting weights at school, which is worrying me some. Dr. says that Warren needs to make sure that he is breathing out as he lifts, to reduce the pressure on his chest and heart(the chemo was hard on his heart, so they don't want any extra strain put on it.)He encouraged Warren to keep running for exercise, which will strengthen his heart. Another friend from my high school has had a child diagnosed with cancer. That makes 4 families, counting ours. I wonder if we could have been exposed to something there? Mark says no, because it isn't a genetic thing...Still, childhood cancer is supposed to be rare, so for it to show up in these 4 children of a 100-student school is strange, I think. And we were all within 3 years of each other in school... Mark has a new job at Yahoo! in Hillsboro. The pay is higher, but the stress is still pretty high, with people calling to yell about what's wrong with their billing, mail account, or web page. He's taking the van every day, so I'm usually at home with Nathan, 6 months, and Heather, 3 (especially with it raining alot). The older boys are still attending public school during the day. We are doing okay overall. Please do still keep us in prayer, especially for good health for Warren. Jesus is drawing me closer to Him through His Word, and I am learning to trust Him again; not to trust that nothing bad will happen to my children, but that when it does, He will be there to hold them and protect their faith in Him.
Please pray for the children of my classmates:
