Hello All!

Just wanted to let you know we're practically neighbors now. Scott and I have moved in with Jen and Colbin over on Langenberg for the interim. Our house is on schedule to be completed by the end of June....Looking forward to finding time to see you soon!

Just wanted to say HI! It's been a long time. I'm so glad to hear that DM14 was such a success and that you guys had a great time. I'm even happier to hear that Livs is doing great these days -- what wonderful news. I love the new pictures -- she's looking so mature these days! I'm in South Korea right now teaching English on a scholarship, and it's why I wasn't at DM this year. Just wanted to say I'm thinking of you all and hoping Livee keeps staying healthy! Talk to you all soon!

Hello Miss Livs!!

The new Mr. and Mrs. Black would like to know what you'll be parading around as tomorrow night. And also, did you get to see Underdog for your birthday like you were hoping? Looks like our (Scott and mine) lives will be calming down a bit now, so maybe we can arrange for some hanging out time soon....

Love,
Mariah

PS - Tell your mom Happy Birthday tomorrow!

Glad to hear you are home. I miss a few days of reading the journal and Wham! I was sad to hear all this had happened. I was looking for you at Light the Night. Amy doesn't get a flu shot because of an allergy. I had her tested because they were recommending she have one (with good reason) but I had my doubts. Mom was right and no flu shot for her because of a possible reaction.

Livee, this is great news! We think of you often and are so happy you like 3rd grade. I have to have my DNA tests re-run in October because it was showing a few of my cells but we are optimist that my brother Luke will cause some trouble, beat on my cells and kick em out! You take care and if you get a chance, come see me when I have my hip surgery. We can joke about being boys together!

Miss Livs (and Dave and Roberta)!!

Shame on me! It's been so long since I've signed or written. I swear I have not fallen off the face of the earth...just been really busy planning a little event called a wedding. Scott mentioned we should bike over some night and go for a ride now that Olivia's a no-training wheels superstar! I think Scott's going to the College World Series in Omaha the weekend of the 16-17th, and I thought maybe I'd let him have a boys weekend, so maybe we could hang out sometime then. It's been a long time since we've had any girl time! Glad to see all continues to be well. We'll talk soon...

Lots of love and hugs,

Dave, Roberta, and Livs,

So glad to hear school is starting out so well. It won't be long before Livs gets her first day off this year already! Scott and I should be at the game this Saturday, too. We will be trying our best to scalp some decent tickets. Maybe we will run into you at some point. Looking forward to getting together for another girls' day or maybe even a sleepover....

Lots of love,
Mariah

Yeah! What great news! We are so happy that Olivia continues to do well. What relief you must be feeling right now. We think of you all so often and are so glad that your beautiful little girl is cancer free. I sure wish that we lived a tad bit closer because I still miss visiting with you. We will have to get together and do dinner some night (we could drive to Iowa City). Maybe Lynn O'Neill and family could come too. If you are ever in the Quad Cities you had better call. Have a great weekend at Adventureland (you deserve some fun). We love and miss you all!

Hi Roberta,

I know how you feel. We go through that same roller coaster ride every 3 months. We've now moved on to 4, so one small step at a time. I ask myself everytime I worry if these feelings will ever go away. It's been 2 years and I still make myself sick. I think it just goes with it. Our lives are changed forever. It's something that is always at the back of your mind. You try to be positive but you still have a fear. I think that's got to be normal. As parents we'll worry forever. That' what my parents say and their in their 60's. We'll be thinking positive thoughts for you this week. Take Care!

Roberta and Livee,

It was so wonderful to see you today. You're a special family that we continually have on our mind. As aweful that cancer is it's good to know there are some good things that come from it and that's meeting families like you that we can share things with. (I really enjoyed talking with you today, Roberta). It was so great to Livee being a kid, a normal kid. She is so beautiful. We pray that you continue to do well. Take care and I will get you some pictures sometime soon. I actually downloaded some tonight. Can you believe it?! (They were from Valentine's day 2005, I told you I'm behind-:)

Livee has a cute updated page. My daughter had an awesome time at camp again this year, which is one of the many reasons she returns year after year. I checked the paper this morning and saw the Relay article. My daughter left for camp yesterday since she is a counselor again, with this being her 7th year volunteering. She worked late Friday night to prepare for her absence at work. Last night I watched my 3 grandsons while their parents were working. What a joy for mr they are to have around. I am sure Livee will be busy having fun at camp again this year. My daughter had fun when she was a camper and it is a great way to get some things done at home while they are gone.

LOL! The door reminds me of when my daughter accidently locked herself in our camper bathroom. My husband had to pry the door open enough for my arm to reach the lock, so the door got warped a little. My arm was squished and she never locked that door again.

We're keeping you in our prayers, Olivia, for your followups this week and next. And preparing to celebrate with you when you get the 100 percent donor, all/clear next week after your BMB (or, bow and arrow as Bailey used to call them). I know what you mean about the "boy" comments. Those will soon be behind you, too. Bailey could be in a two-piece swimsuit with ribbons and doo-dads in her hair and people would STILL call her a boy. They are just plain stupid I guess! It used to bother Bailey so much, but she laughs about it now. Enjoy the changing of seasons and being outside playing and healthy and happy again, and looking forward to an awesome summer!

Hi All!
Judging by the journal and guestbook, it looks like somebody likes Chicken Little. I am so happy for the wonderful counts and report, Livee! We couldn't be happier for you all! We still check in almost daily on your website. Though we don't always sign the guestbook, please know that you are always in our thoughts and prayers. We are hoping to get up to Dance Marathon this year, though again, we haven't received anything about it in the mail. We talked with UIHC last year, somehow we have never gotten signed up to receive any of the dance marathon information. I'll have to work on that. Anyways, we miss you guys and hope to see you soon!

Hi Livee. Sorry I have not written to you in awhile but I just got back from sunny Arizona. It was beautiful and very warm. My friends who live there thought it was cold but I told them to come to Iowa if they wanted to be in the cold. They have never seen snow! A few of them are coming back for Christmas this year so they will get to experience it first hand. I am so happy that you are doing so well and you are roaring up on that 100 day mark! That will surely be a day to celebrate. Tell your mom that I am thinking of her and you and maybe we could go come up and we could go do something during the week that the mall is not busy and see that man in the red suit! My girls are very excited. Maci thinks that Christmas is Friday because she knows the 25 is a big day. We will put up the tree and that will make it seem so much more like Christmas time. She wants a talking Dora Kitchen, what do you want?? Keep up the faith. You are doing awesome. All our love, Teresa, Maci and Rylee

I know you had a great time and Mom says you really got alot of candy! Have a very fun week planning and getting ready and getting that 'normalcy" back slowly into your lives.
