Daniel Francis

Thank you for visiting Daniel's Web Page. Daniel was born with Neurofibromatosis 1 and Juvenile Xanthogranuloma. These 2 diseases made him predispositioned to get leukemia. He was diagnosed with JMML at 41/2 years old on May 13,2001. He had 2 rounds of chemo before we could find a donor. July,2001 he had a splenectomy, 2 more rounds of chemo, 3 days of total body irradiation and the an Unrelated Bone Marrow Transplant 8/24/01.

Daniel is doing well these days. He is still dealing with his Chronic Graft vs Host disease. His blood counts have been good. He hasn't needed any blood products since he had his BMT(8/01). I recently found out about Caringbridge so that is why there is not so much info yet.
