Beloved son of Christopher and Myra Sweet. Brother to Madeline and Gabriel and Garrett. Grandson to Gene and Gail Sweet and Harold and Nancy Keener.
A warm hello to all who read this page. Luke was born on February 9th 1998. He was diagnosed with neuroblastoma on July 25th ,2001. He was immediately admitted to Akron childrens hospital and two and 1/2 year battle for life began. Luke has an older sister Madeline, and two younger brothers Gabriel and Garrett. Lukes Parents are Christopher and Myra Sweet. The 2 and a half year Journey was very devastating for everyone in the family. Luke went onto the 3973 protocol and received stem cell transplant in February of 2002. As the Stem Cell Transplant took hold Luke began to improve and he was pronounced "NED" in May of 2002. He still went to clinic on and off but he was able to be a little boy and play baseball and a couple of games of soccer for the next 13 months. His Proudest moment was when he received a trophy along with the rest of his baseball team. He was able to go on trips and went to see his Chemo Angel Vickie in Phoenix ARIZONA. He went to the beach with his Grandma and Grandpa Keener and went on a fishing trip to his great Uncle Lees with Grandma and Grandpa Sweet. Luke's last wish was to be a real cowboy, and with all his courage and determination Luke managed to fulfill that wish, he mounted a horse, in his little red boots with spurs, along with his cowboy hat the day before he passed away. Luke gained his Angel wings one day shy of his sixth birthday,Feruary 8th,2004.
WE WOULD VERY MUCH APPRECIATE IT IF YOU WOULD SAY HI IN LUKES GUESTBOOK AND SIGN YOUR NAME,THANKYOU.
