Neuroblastoma Stage 4 Lily BEAT Neuroblastoma Stage 4
Journal
Sat, January 27, 2006 Hi,
We had a wonderful Christmas holiday this year. We have been cancer free now for almost 18 months now. It is still hard to believe that almost two years ago we were diagnosed. To look at Lily today, she looks like a normal two-year-old running around. The kids enjoyed the break and so did we. Lily wanted a baby cradle and Uncle Rob got it for her. That was her highlight this year and of course Cinderella. Alex got some Leapster games, which he loves, the Batman one!!
A few days ago we decided to add a new addition to our family. Our dog, Spunkie, is 13 years old and going down hill. We thought that a new puppy would maybe perk her up and also prepare the kids better if something was to happen to Spunkie. So now we have a “teenager” in the house. Matt is doing most of the work with him. The kids named him Scooby and he is a full yellow lab. He is so much fun!! He loves to bite on Lily’s pants, she is NOT happy with that part of it. Alex is teaching him to chase a rope. We have had him since Tuesday night and he is almost doggie trained. He has caught on so quickly.
Please pray for a little girl named Grace Hutchinson. We met them at Children’s Cincinnati when we were going through treatment. Grace has a rare cancer called cardoma. You can check out her web page at www.caringbride.org/oh/gracehutchinson.com
