Jackson’s Journey Welcome to Jackson's Web Page. We have decided to post all new information and updates in an effort to keep our friends and family connected. Jackson was diagnosed with a stage I Wilm's tumor of favorable histolgy on May 2nd 2003. He underwent a radical nephrectomy to remove his right kidney on May 7th. He began chemotherapy which consisted of two drugs (actinomycin-D & vincristine)on May 10th. Jackson successfully completed treatment on September 10th 2003 and he is currently in remission. We are eagerly awaiting his five year anniversary for the "cure". Please enter your zip code and follow the link below to advocate for increased funding for pediatric cancer!

Sunday, November 5, 2006 10:41 AM CST Hello to All, I might be the worst journal updater in the history of caringbridge! A lot has happened since April! I'll start with the best news first. Jackson had a good checkup and clear scans in October. That marked his three year anniversary off treatment, which of course is a huge milestone for us. I absolutely cannot believe that we have come this far! Jackson is healthy, happy and busy with the time consuming pursuit of "growing up". In August we went on Jackson's wish trip to Disney World and Give Kids the World Village. It was an amazing trip filled with special memories that we will never forget. The people at Disney World treated Jackson like a king! He had special access to all of the rides and attractions and he even got to be the guest conductor on the Disney Railroad. Since trains are his personal obsession he loved getting to yell "ALL ABODE" (that's how he says it of course) into the loud speaker on the train. They gave him a special guest conductor gold pass as a keepsake. Immediately upon returning from his trip I started law school...which explains my lack of updates! I'll try to do better! Please remember to keep Jackson's friend Sage in your thoughts and prayers. She was diagnosed with Wilms and is treated at the same hospital as Jackson. She has become quite a good friend to Jackson! Happy Fall and Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy the season with your families! Manon
