Dear Debbie and Family,
Austin was here for a purpose. He showed a lot of people how to live and gave a lot of us hope in a hopeless world. He was so full of life, even on his down days. It was a pleasure to see the sparkle in his eyes when he came to my office for lunch. He will be missed but his spirit will live on in the many of us who got to know him. I'm so sorry for this terrible tragedy for his family, but live in the realization that one day, we'll all be greeting Austin again. God be with you at this saddest time in your life!

I was devastated to hear the news. Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers. I was so sad that I didn't get to see Austin when he came to Huntington for a visit last month. I was thrilled he got to call me. His voice sounded just the same...a little deeper, but as happy as I always remembered it. He was an amazing young man. He taught me as much as I taught him...maybe more! I hope you will still stay in contact. You'll continue to always be in my thoughts and prayers.

It's just Mrs. Mehlman, first off I am glad to hear that you are doing so well. It is COLD here today and they say snow tonight...so enjoy your weather!

You know that it made my day when I talked to your Aunt and she told me that you thought of school to donate your books to. We miss you and are very excited about the donation. Glad to hear things are finally going in the right direction for you!!! Austin you look good in your photos, I am so happy to see your smile. Kailey has completed chemo and has gotten her mediport out, she is done with all the chemo and we are going to start to try living a normal life again, I pray that you will get there one day too.

I haven't for got about you but things have been busy lately. Your mom knows a new baby keeps you busy! Well, I hope all is well with you and your family. Are you back in school?
