Girlie Liew
21 October 1948 - 8 September 2002 In loving memory of my mom Girlie Liew
**~~Mum & Karen~~**
In February, 1998, my mom was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. After endless rounds of chemotherapy, good news and bad news, and 4 1/2 years of graciously and bravely fighting this horrible disease, God decided she was too beautiful for Earth and healed her completely in Heaven. This page is here to update everyone on how her family is doing without her and also for us all to share precious memories of a beautiful mother, wife, sister, daughter, aunt and friend. Thanks for checking in, please sign my guestbook whenever you visit!
Fly
Fly, fly little wing, Fly beyond imagining, The softest cloud, the whitest dove, Upon the wind of Heaven's love, Past the planets and the stars, Leave this lonely world of ours, Escape the sorrow and the pain, And fly again.
Fly, fly precious one, Your endless journey has begun, Take your gentle happiness, Far too beautiful for this, Cross over to the other shore, There is peace forevermore, But hold this memory bittersweet, Until we meet.
Fly, fly do not fear, Don't waste a breath, don't shed a tear, Your heart is pure, your soul is free, Be on your way, don't wait for me, Above the universe you'll climb, On beyond the hands of time, The moon will rise, the sun will set, But I won't forget.
Fly, fly little wing, Fly where only angels sing, Fly away, the time is right, Go now, find the light...

He only takes the best...
God saw she was getting tired, And a cure was not to be. So he put His arms around her, And whispered, "Come with me".
With tear filled eyes we watched her suffer and fade away, Although we loved her deeply, We could not make her stay.
A golden heart stopped beating, hard-working hands put to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.

Monday, September 8, 2008 Dearest Mum,
Six years ago, today, we kissed you goodbye as you found the peace you so desperately deserved. I will never forget the strength and courage you had battling the disease that took so much from you. You are still so loved and very much remembered every moment of every day till we meet again.
Missing you always, Your daughter Janice
"A butterfly lights beside us, like a sunbeam... and for a brief moment its glory and beauty belong to this world... but then it flies on again, and although we wish it could have stayed, we are so thankful to have seen it at all."
