I can't believe I managed to stop by TODAY to see an update! I am so happy for everyone and also that Kaitlyn reached her 5-year mark! She was one of the first kids we visited when Autumn was diagnosed-Autumn will hit her 5-year mark next April and it cannot come fast enough!

Four years off treatment! That is so wonderful.
I hope you and your family have a Happy Easter. I've often thought of how different it would be for me to have Christmas in the summer, but I just realized while I was driving home tonight that it would also seem strange for Easter not to be in the spring. Folks around here may be confused about the seasons anyway. A couple of weeks ago we had several hot days, and now it could be below freezing for the next three nights. That's unusually cold for Alabama in April.

Sorry to see there are nasty things in the guestbook. I think there is a way you can add a code number at the bottom of the sign in page so real people are putting up messages and not any crawlers, you know. Another friend of ours had to do that. Too bad how that yuck is around.
Anyway, Kaitlyn, you look absolutely stunning in the photo on the front! Who is that with you, your mom? She's very pretty, too. :) Well, here in the US, I had a cough for a long time, too...just about 6 weeks, as yours has been, and gradually tapered off. Still have a tickle now and again, but it is finally leaving, I think. I hope that is how it is for you and that it goes away very soon. I hope it isn't asthma or anything except a stinky virus. :)
We're getting ready to have our Thanksgiving tomorrow and I have come around to many kids sites to wish them a Happy Thanksgiving! Since you won't be celebrating that, I will wish you a Happy Thursday (here it is still Wednesday lunchtime) and hope you are having a beautiful late spring/early summer day there. It sure is cold here!!! :)

I'm glad you decided to transcribe your journal to share with others. That must be quite a job, but I guess it is also a good way to review this important part of your life.
I'm praying that Kaytlyn will continue to have clear scans and that Mack will be healed without surgery.
Being in the Northern Hemisphere, our vegetables are being harvested now, even by humans, to some extent. Raccoons are pretty hard on gardens around here. Rabbits aren't as plentiful as they once were, but they can do a job, too. Squirrels do more harm than you would think, and if you happen to plant near a deer trail, forget it. But... I can't remember the last time we had trouble with wallabies in Alabama.
