I am so glad Steffan is doing well and that his scans were clean. I love the picture-his hair has really grown back. So, when does he get his line out? Matt too is on his last cylce of Accutane-he has been on it for a total of 8 months I think.

Hope Stefan is at home now as I'm typing, that the 4th antibody treatment went smoothly, and that there is no more pain for Stefan right now. Sounds like you did lots of fun things together before the treatment. We haven't seen the movie Elf yet, but have heard it is hilarious, as well as ideal for the whole family to see together. I'll bet that seeing the Hulk at the museum was so exciting for you, Stefan, and going to Toys R Us!! Back at the end of June this past summer, Erin and I went to the Toys R Us at Times Square, and it was amazing! Keep having a great time together, and stay strong & feeling well.

We are praying that Stefan has a better response to this round of treatment. We know that he is on morphine and having a little trouble with it. When Brian had this antibody, he had trouble as well so we switched him to the Fentanyl patch. Please ask the Dr. about it. It made Brian's treatment a lot easier. Hello Árni, Andrea, kristin and Stefan.
I saw that it was Stefan´s birthday a month ago. Happy birthday, and hopfully a lot of happy days ahead. My son Sindri is the same age, turned 5 the 12 of july. Life can be strange and we never know what it brings us. Sindri was very ill when he was born and 10 hours old he had already been brougt by emergency-flight from Akureyri to Reykjavík and had a very big and lifethreatning sergery. But he is a tough guy just like Stefan. He is very much O.K. today although he has just one lung and his digestion system is different from others. So we have at least two very tough boys in this family!

Núna er ég sjúkrahúsprestur í Reykjavík. Jón sagði mér frá þér og að hann og frænka þín hefðu verið í heimsókn hjá ykkur í USA.

Estoy enterado de la lamentable enfermedad de Stepfan, y están conmigo en todas mis oraciones.

Les escribí alguna vez, hace muy poco tiempo, pero les quería platicar que en la película Otono en Nueva York, creo que se llamó en inglés Autumn in NY, la enfermedad que sufre Winona Ryder es la misma que tiene su pequeno.

Les mando este mail, como una muestra del carino que les tengo, a través de Walther, que realmente es una gran persona, muy querido amigo mío.

Les deja un abrazo un hermano mexicano, que está con ustedes, además sé perfectamente que Stefan será un adulto exitoso y alegre, y un abuelito maravilloso.

Dear Andrea and Arni, Kristin & Stefan,
I'm so happy to finally get onto this website. What a great idea! It's so good to hear that Stefan has had some good energy at home and is getting closer to the end of this treatment cycle. We miss him so much. Unfortunatley, our home has been full of illnesses since the first of the year so we dare not visit. Whether it's me with a stomach bug or Jake with a cold or even Greg with a bronchial thing, we knew it best to keep a distance.

Jacob now has a good pile of pictures he's drawn, valentines and even a gift (from our California trip in the fall) that he wants to give to Stefan himself. Every night he says prayers for Stefan and even asks for magic to make him better all by himself. We really hope to clear our health up soon so we can come see him.

In the meantime, you know you can call on us for anything, and I hope you know that. Hang in there, guys. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all, always.

A note to say that we continue to keep your whole family in our household prayers daily and also at the Reformed Church of the Tarrytowns, where Stefan is on our prayer list.
