Sheldon's Page

Welcome. Sheldon is 7 and has a mitochondrial disorder. Sheldon can't talk but can sign and is a really sweet boy who makes everyone smile! He loves fire trucks, firefighters, ambulances, snow, and trucks. Sheldon has a G tube, a J tube, and a Hickman catheter (central line).

Mito is a nightmare progressive neurogical disorder for which there is no cure. The UMDF and mitoaction have good info about mito.

GF/CF diet really can cure autism! If your child has autistic symptoms, check into it. Sheldon has made a lot of progress on the GF/CF diet.
Thanks for checking in on us! Please sign the guest book so we know you were here.
Here's a good video about mito.

Here are the pictures from Sheldon's Wish trip ! Lots of fun!

A good video about mito - with Shel's picture in it. The poem about finding a cure is by Mattie Stepanek.
