I am catching up on your last two posts. Is there a way to sign up for emails for updates?
That fungus infection must be so frustrating to deal with. I hope the constant meds will help and that if there is a way to help his immune system it is found. Kind of strange that on one child you will want to supplement his immune system and with Tray when he gets his heart, you will need to suppress it.
I really don't know how you are juggling all this.
My prayers for lots of good answers to lots of different problems including the perfect timing of a perfect heart.

Wishing you a quiet but fun Christmas!
heart hugs,

Thanks Renee for the additional holter monitor info. Gabby takes some crap at school for her illness sometimes. Wearing the holter monitor with electrodes would just give some of the kids more ammunition so she asked me and I asked the dr and they said it was our choice. She goes to school part time anyway and already has a tutor and a 504 plan so I agreed. I figured with everything else she contends with I didn't want to make things worse on her. You don't know how much I appreciate your knowledge - it's a God send! *hugs*

Renee let me ask you something, since you have used the haltermonitor before and I haven't. How do the kids know when to press the button???? That is my biggest issue - when to tell her to press the button....Thanks - you are lifesaver!!!! :) With love...

Hi Renee,
I am here after reading your message on the Htx group. What an amazing family you have! How my heart goes out to you and what a joy it is to read about each of your children. Your plate is certainly full and yet I see what a blessing your children are.
I am Wendy, mom of Andrew who is waiting for a heart along with Tray. I have two other sons as well. We live in the Chicago area. Andrew has a Caringbridge site as well called waiting for a heart also a carepage: andrewjosephspage which goes back to 2004 I believe.
I just stopped by to learn more about you and Tray and your other kids. I look forward to following your journey and to praying for your family.
Hugs to each of you,

wendy

Miriam often told me about your family from reading your website. Checking your updates was the last thing she was able to do with her computer. She cared deeply about your family, and I do as well. To all your angels: be good, and love your Mom. She is an incredible woman.

You have so much going on yet you continue to deal with it with grace and trust. I can't imagine how your head has to be swimming right now. I wish so much I lived there so I could help you out. I know you will all come out OK in the end and it will work out, but I continue to pray things can go smoothly and you are able to be where you need to be when you need to be there. The fieldtrip/bus thing makes me furious. There is no reason to treat anyone that way and someone with the issues she has... well I have no words. As for your neighbor I can't even come up with words, tears, but no words. Life never seems just at times like these. Will be praying for this family also. Many hugs and thoughts coming your way as you enter these next weeks.

Dear Renee and Peter,
The few times we stayed with your children, so you could have a small amount of time together, were spectacular. We would love to give you some time again to enjoy yourselves. We are not medically certified but will do whatever we can to honor your love for children who need extra special care.

Hi Renee,
I enjoyed reading about your family, sounds like there's never a dull moment at your place! Your web page is a touching testament to the love you feel for your family. It seems you've been busy changing other people's lives and touching many with all the gifts you have to share since our high school days, I'm glad to know that you're happy and enjoying every moment with the people you love. Renee, I know that there are many, many people like you and Pete in the world, though I have only had the fortune of meeting you guys, to know that people like you live among us in this crazy world gives me renewed hope in man. You two are so amazing and the world is a better place because of you. I just want you to know how many people love you, pray for you and thank God daily that you were put into our lives. You may think that you are only touching the lives of those fantastic kids of yours, but the truth is that you have touched, helped and healed more people than you will ever know! And that goes to all the other "Renee and Pete's" of the world that we have never met. I just wish there was a way to show you the gratitude that we all feel for your efforts and love. I know that God will be able to show you, but all I can do is say thanks. You are truly amazing and I hope your thanksgiving went well and that you have a truly magical Christmas holiday!!

Hey Tray. I hope that you remember me and Lucas. I was a substitute teacher at LBE and Lucas was in your class in 3rd and 4th grade with Mrs. Sardo. We are both praying for a complete recovery and that a heart with your name on it is ready for you. We remember your laugh and your smile would light up the room and we miss that. We are going to the fundraiser tonight so that we can do a small part to help your family. Please know that we are thinking of you and wish you all the best. Don't give up and keep on smiling!!! Renee I have gone back and read many of your past entries and am so impressed with how you manage to balance everything. And for your obvious love for your family.

We are back at RMH, as you may have learned, and Andrew will discuss with us his plans and Thursday we have an appointment with his cardiologist to tell her what he wants to do. She is calling him Monday night with the resuts of the discussion of the cardiologist and heart surgeons on any other options. I am really praying that we will have answers of which way he wishes to go and that we can start. Whatever starting means.
Prayers to you for a heart to be found quickly and for great success. Thanks for stopping by our carepage- I don't know how you find the time to read with all you must do each day. take care,

I don't have many words and not the right words, but what I do know is what you feel is normal, what you are going with isn't wrong. I know that you are right and with a little sleep you can deal so much better with those thoughts, process them different, prioritize and do what you have to do to get through the day to day, but some days reality is just right there in front of you and smacks you in the face. All you can do is accept the comfort, prayers and thoughts of others. Know tomorrow brings yet another day. Sending hugs your way. You are an amazing mom, such a gift to each of those precious children.

Hello my Dear Renee!!
I'm feeling like a total cad that I sent you the e-mail the other day not realizing that the little man was still feeling so bad. I pray that a change will come that will reduce his discomfort, it is by far the worst pain watching your baby in pain. Why is it that appointments for the big stuff take the longest?!! Shouldn't it be the other way around! I am however amazed at how many balls you are juggling at once for all the kids, you are nothing short of amazing!!! You make me feel like a darn baby!! I always remember you in my prayers and your beautiful kids for strength and wisdom when strength gets a little worn down! I truly hope that Sergio finds relief soon. Please let me know if there is anything at all that I can ever do!!
Do you take Josh to 5c for IVIG?? I can't imagine after all these years of going there that we've never been on the same day! Well, give every single baby of yours a big squeeze from me please!!! Your children are sooo very blessed to have you for their mom!!!!!

I'm so, so sorry. Praying for your dear, sweet little guy and for strength for you and your husband.

ON another note, can't you try a warm pack on his tummy? it's not the best, but it might help with the pain. A lot of pseudo obstruction kids find this helps and that sounds like what your dealing with as far as the belly. Can you vent him? (again, you may already be doing this, but I wish I could help and figure I'd throw a few things out there just in case). I hope they can help him. I'm sure a tummy that is sore isn't helping his breathing either. Praying you both get some relief soon and some answers. If they do the LP are they going to get metabolic labs off it at the same time? Might help you avoid some other testing? I don't know... again, not saying any of this is new or might help, but wanting to do something.

With an elevated lactic acid Maya always become ataxic. An elevated lactic acid is often the cause of metabolic acidosis which in itself can cause the symptoms you are talking about. Is his CO2 low? With Maya we are often able to give her acetylzolemide and within hours see improvements as it helps correct the acidosis. It would still be nice to know the cause though. I'm wondering since he has resp issues if they are assuming the acidosis is resp and not metabolic? We went years with these episodes until we finally hit the right neurologist who was able to tell us what was going on. I pray things improve and they find some answers for you. Did they do an MRS while he was getting his MRI? That could have shown them more, especially in regards to the lactic acid and metabolic component (if there is one). We'll be praying for you.

I've been reading your journal and while it will take me some time to catch up, I wanted to let you know that you can also call me anytime. Although we are still at the very beginning with Sami, I've also gotten a lot of comments and judgements from people who just have no clue as to what we are actually dealing with and going through. While I know how hurtful it is to hear those things, I try to remember that nobody can truly understand until they've walked in these shoes and that helps some. You are doing great and wonderful things for all of your angels so don't let anyone tell you otherwise! I continue to pray for all of you.

You and Peter are wonderful parents. I would bop anyone who disagreed. With a 300lb powerchair and 25lb vent. Quite a bop, actually. INCREDIBLE parents.
I am so sorry about Ethel. She looks like an angel. Prayers are with you always. I hope the issues with Josh and Mariella have some easier times and (prayers) solutions, Trayvon has a smooth road to transplant, Sergio keeps defying the odds and Cody stays sweet and no lasting problem with everything and Nettie realizes she's BEAUTIFUL, and a fighter for life who has defied all the odds. Your nephew sounds like a sweet boy. He's lucky to be with the Curkengang. I was reading when it was...two kids. Amazing.
Love to every member of the gang,
Miri and Matt

Hi Renee,
My name is Danny Lam and I got your caringbridge webpage from Heidi. I also volunteer for the Friends of Jalcyn Foundation. After reading your journey, I am in complete admiration for both you and your husband. When I thought that I was doing enough, I realized that I can do more for all the children who desperately need help after reading your journey.
I am sure we will find a team for you so I would like to welcome you to the FOJ family.
My daughter, Devon Lam, was adopted by the Temple University Women's Lacrosse team back in Feb 2008. The team gave her so much love, support, and friendship. They gave her back her childhood that was taken away when she was diagnosed with a brain tumor. She earned her wings in Dec 5, 2008. The FOJ experience was incredible and this is the reason why I now volunteer for the foundation.
I hope that we can meet each other at some point.

Renee,
Heidi here from the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation (http://www.friendsofjaclyn.org).
It was a true pleasure speaking with you today. I enjoyed learning all about Joshua and also enjoyed reading about all of your beautiful children on the caringbridge website. I was sad to read about little Ethel but so thankful that she spent her final days with such a special family.
The Friends of Jaclyn Foundation(FOJ) is helping to raise awareness of pediatric brain tumors and improving the quality of life of the children and their families. We are doing this by connecting the children with college sports teams for love, support and friendship.
We are so pleased that you reached out to us and look forward to welcomming Joshua and your entire family into the FOJ family.

I'm so glad she had a home and a family for her last days here. I"m glad you were able to be with her to the end. To say I'm sorry for your loss is an understatement, but I am sorry. You answer the call to care so selflessly and do it whole heartedly. Sending hugs over the miles.

Renee, My first born, Chase, was premature (6 1/2 wks)but, thanks to the grace of god, has not shown one side effect. I was so afraid that he'd have a list of issues to deal with and count myself blessed that he does not. You seem to handle all the chaos with grace and humor and have the love to not only handle it - but to help others who so desperately need it. You inspire me.

I'm so sorry things continue to be so rough. Poor baby with no sleep. I feel so sorry for the little guy. Hope the clonidine helps. Not sure if he's too young, but mirapex did wonders for us and sleep for a long time before we entered the current issues we are dealing with. I would be concerned that his lack of sleep is actually due to his not tolerating his feeds and distress from that and this is how is body is showing it. I know feeding intolerance can do some strange things. I would wonder if pain isn't causing him not to sleep. here's hoping you can all catch some winks and some answers for the week little guy.

Your family is a real inspiration! It is great that you have the strength to help these kids through all of their challenges.
I also have a child with sleep issues. Whew... I cant imagine combining that with the multiple other issues your kids have. Sleep is so important.. If he isnt sleeping neither are you. It is so taxing on both ... Our saving grace was / is ( he is 14 now..yes still has his sleepless moments :) ) Hydroxyzine Hydrochloride ( atterax ) dont know if this is a possibility for you with his other issues. It is a once a day, evening med that has antihistamine, antianxiety and sleepy effects. Its pretty common and you've probably already tried it but ..just in case. I wish you all the best. I hope that old sand man visits soon! Please kiss Annette for me. She is just beautiful!

Renee, I just wanted to send a Happy New Year wish and prayer for your wonderful family this coming year. I really believe that meeting Pete was a gift from God, as it has introduced me to the incredible Curkendall family, and given me so much in return in how I look at my own little blessings at home. You and Pete are such inspirations to myself as well as well as so many others that you touch. Again, meeting you and your family was a true blessing in my life, and I truly believe that God brought you guys into my life to afford me invaluable lessons about what really matters and what true happiness and wealth are all about!

I have to admit that game day on Jan 1 was a tough day, but it was still a great year for my "BearMonkeys". We all watched the PSU game also and cheered the Lions on although it didn't pan out.

You and Pete are great friends, and even greater inspirations in my life, and I can't thank you enough for the things that you have taught me that you are not even aware of. I greatly value our friendship, even though Peter tried to hurt me physically the first time we ever met. Obviously he needs to hear the story of the mean Lion and the sweet BearMonkey, who just wanted a friend to play with, one more time.

Give a hug to all the kids from the Graham family, and all the best in 2009!

Your friends in Cincinnati,

Jeff, Elizabeth, Galen, Sudy, Larson and Bo!

Hoping you have a very merry christmas and everyone stays healthy so you can be home and enjoy the holiday.

Hope you can figure out the issue with the line. Not sure if you've tried just using a steri strip to hold it in place, but sometimes they are easier to get off then tape and they are sterile so they can go under the dressing. Hopefully you can just switch to a port. So much nicer. I miss ours, but we infuse 24/7 so it's not an option anymore.

How was date night? Fun I hope. It is hard to find the time with little kids.

Hope Trayvon is having a better day. I'd be mad at the transplant doctor too. I think I have a chip on my shoulder for stupid doctors, though. Not all doctors, just those with no common sense. My best friend needed a heart/lung transplant due to pulmonary hypertension and a congenital heart defect. She was willing to be listed as long as she could wait at home. They lived close enough to the hospital that this was not an unreasonable request. The doctors wanted her to stay in the hospital until organs became available. She did not want to potentially spend the rest of her life in a hospital. She died 5 years ago at the age of 35 without ever being listed. To this day I wonder if things would have been different if her doctors had showed more compassion and common sense.

Hopefully Trayvon's doctors will get him listed soon so he can live a LONG, healthy, happy life.

I'm also sorry that Trayvon is facing another medical ordeal. He is such a tough little superhero! I hope a new, healthy heart will make him feel better ultimately than he EVER has.
Sergio is a cutie! Any word on when/if to trach?
Congratulations Nettie, you're getting so independent.
Much love to Josh, Cody, Mariella, Trayvon, Nettie and Sergio. And you and Peter.

Ooh...I'm jealous. I went to the last game Penn State/Syracuse played in the Dome. Peter wouldn't have been in that one because I was a junior or senior at Penn State and he is 2 years older than me. Penn State won that day too. I remember my brother and I were in a section with a bunch of Penn State fans and had a great time.

I came out of lurker mode and posted a sympathy message a few days ago. Now I guess I'll tell you why I started reading your blog. I am originally from Athens, PA which is about 20 miles from Elmira. My dad taught in Elmira schools. Peter might have known him but I don't think he ever had him. Mr. Johnson who taught Social Studies. In any case, we always followed Peter's football career because of the local connection.

I was at Penn State 2 years behind Peter. I was a freshman when they won the national championship. I did not know Peter personally, but he had a friend or girlfriend (not sure which)that lived on my floor sophomore year. Ask him if he remembers Donna that was diagnosed with MS.

I found the Caringbridge community years ago when my boss's daughter had leukemia. Eventually someone posted a link to your page. I knew a bit of the story of Annette and Joshua from stories in the Elmira paper. I've been lurking since around the time Trayvon came to live with you.

Now that I've written a book...I'll continue praying for your family. Special prayers for Trayvon as he begins the jouney to a new heart.

It is my special prayer day where I just pay attention to HIM and make my special requests. God is so great. He is really my father and well you know how that goes... Daddies just love when you rely on them.

So, today I tell my Father that I am asking for special prayers just for you and the other special children in this Caring Bridge site. I also ask my Father for special prayers for all the Head Injury Survivors, their family and friends too.

I know that my Father hears me today. I can feel it. He makes me feel like a child all over again... just to ask Him over and over again for things that make me feel special. I feel special when I know that the child I am praying for has wonderful news to share. My happiness comes in sharing Glory for His sake. God, the Father is wonderful.

Praying for you in the precious name of sweet Jesus.

YOU must be so very special too in the eyes of the Heavenly Father. To be Blessed with all that you endure, I am positive that God has a very unique plan for you here today and in the future.
God Bless you all.
So sorry for the Loss of your earthly father. He sounds like a wonderful man. Gods garden is beautiful as He always picks the BEST.

Renee, your Dad seems like he was one heckuva guy. I know this is tough, but try to remember how blessed he was and how wonderful his life was to be able to see his daughter grow, be happily married, and raise one of the most incredible families ever. He was very fortunate to have been given the gifts that you and your kids have given him. Celebrate his life, and make sure that all those great kids grow up knowing the caliber of man their grandfather was. I know he is in heaven now, probably bragging to everyone about what a fantastic family he has.

God bless your father, his family and all who knew him. I wish I had had the chance to meet him!

Hi Renee - first, I was so happy to read about Josh's 10 year anniversary - what a milestone! I'm also looking forward to 10/28/2014 when I can write that, but will be soaking up every minute until then. I cringed when Ethan had all his re-vaccinations, it is amazing how many they give at once and I had wondered if this was safe. Of course, they say yes - but you never know...I'll be looking forward to your section in the American Journal of Medicine for the answers one day. Do you have a crazy lab behind a secret door in your home somewhere? Because I can picture you with your eye shields, wearing a lab coat and gloves, holding vaporizing test tubes for some reason. Just kidding :) Hope to see you soon - Love, Natalie

Hi Renee!
As of now (everybody has a "definitive reason" that someone treated for congenital immunodeficiency for 31 years was not properly screened. The reasons change by the day.)it seems that I HAVE had twice-yearly immunoglobulin panels, but I've been transfused so much that on a basic screen, I have "ghost G." I've got so many remnants of antibodies and such that unless more than a cursory panel is done, I show up WITH IgG, and the only ones they did test in more depth were IgA/complements-- the ones they knew about. They had their reason for infection, and that was enough for them. Shame it was wrong.
Because of the vasculitis and blood production probs, I HAVE (thank G-d)been checked on T cells, B cells and helper/suppressor ratio properly.
Wow. All these years thinking IVIG couldn't help and it COULD HAVE. How many infections could have been avoided? Judging by Nettie and Joshua, lots.
We are expecting a visit today from my immunologist at Children's to evaluate me for transfer, and will ask about having sub-q IVIG.
I need the folks who have treated me all my life to sort out the mess of liver/vasculitis/infection/hereditary immunoglobulin deficiency. The people here are great, but they don't have an MDA clinic or a ped. immunology clinic. I want to be at CHOM, where they know me.
Well, I can't change the past, so we go forward. Maybe with IVIG to keep trach buggies away!
Thanks, thanks, thanks for your advice, thoughts and prayers. You are all in our prayers too.

Love,
Miri

Renee- I have never seen God's hands in action like I do in both your and Peter's lives, and the lives of your children. You have more love to give than I have ever imagined myself giving. It is a blessing to know you and your family, and every time we interact, I am witness to Christ with us. Thank you for your gift to not only your beautiful children, but to all of us so lucky to know you.

Hi guys.
Great work in school. You all must make your Mom and Dad soooo proud.
Renee, thanks for the guestbook note. I definitely have my moments, but my family and friends make it clear that I am lucky in so many ways and if necessary, declare a five-minute whining limit. You of all people know that prognosis is way affected by will to live. Your little ones have jumped the odds so many times, because they are determined to live and thrive.
But thanks for such a sweet message. I'd love to meet you all too. We're two degrees of separation in so many things-- I took the same Wish trip as Trayvon, and I see an MDA pulmonologist in NJ once a year (but will stick with the one at my home MDA clinic after my trach.) There has to be someplace we will both be at the same time.
Oh, BTW-- Nettie is the only other person I have known of who has had xanthomonas hemosepsis (how I, or Nettie, got a bug that should only infect PLANTS is a mystery. I must be part fern.) If she has also had globratta toriolopsis or cepacia, we may be blood sisters-- in our way.) We're currently growing MRSA and klebsiella, again. I'm sure you remember the fever-call-pack-admit-minimum two week stay shuffle. We have had a few extra steps this time.
Anyway, thanks. I was really happy to see your name in the guestbook. I hope everybody is okay, and that it isn't as cold there as it is here.

Take care,
Miri B.

Renee, my fiance thought he had it hard taking care of me on 26 meds (only 21 at home, five are received here at the hospital every 48 hours in short stay) and he has me doing the scheduling/supervising and full-time CNAs and R.N.s to help do my care.
I showed him your entry. Now he knows how easy he has it.
You are...a force of nature. Remember to take care of the caregiver.

Best to all you guys (well, four guys and three gorgeous ladies),

Hi there. Glad to read things are a bit more under control than last entry - WOW! You are truley an inspiration to so many people...how you have so many responsibilities, activities, appointments, medications, emergencies and worries to try to balance - and yet you manage to keep your head above water and swim on. It kills me when I listen to people "complain" about things that mean nothing - I want to send them right here. Thank you for writing in this journal so frequently, I read each entry and am amazed at what you can do. I know that has to be such a tearing feeling to make the helmet decision and I will repeatedly pray that he won't need it as his seizures will be controlled. These words have been in my direction the last couple of weeks and I will pass them on - Ephesians 3:20 "He can do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us"

Happy new year. I have followed since it was just Joshua and Nettie. You have a beautiful, big family. What a lovely young woman Nettie is!
I am looking at the possibility of a VNS. I'm limited in the meds I can take, because I cannot eat and all my nutrition and meds have to go through my Hickman. I'm taking IV Dilantin and IV phenobarbital every 12 hours, Klonopin fastmelt wafers every six hours and Ativan IV push once a day. The combo makes concentration hard, and still doesn't cover all my seizures. Joshua, you are one brave kid to go to school and have fun even through those seizures.
I would like very much if you stopped at my page sometime, www.caringbridge.org/visit/mirib. Any advice from your experience with Joshua's VNS is most welcome.

That is so funny that Cody found his favorite present, a stick. Ethan has been spending a lot of fun with the cardboard gift wrapping tube behind a chair. Hi Renee,

I just read your journal. Would it be helpful for parents like us and Rivards to get together and cry out to God? Not just for the healing of our children but for our sanity sake? We are facing some new challenges with Beth. There has to be a way around the dread and cold fear. AFTER ALL, WE BELIEVE IN GOD! Perhaps we could fight the anger and anxiety together? I don't know. Vicki and I are just sick of the worry--especially when we don't think we have to go there.

You have made the right choice and somehow Joshua will get through this - kids deal so much better than us moms. Keeping him safe is the most important thing. Renee - I'm glad that you were able to blow off some steam on your latest journal. You are such a strong person and great role model for everyone, yet you are only human. It breaks my heart to know how other people are feeling when they go through something like this, as I am going through something similiar. I hate these feelings and wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy. As our kids have to go through so much, we are also going through it even more with the guilt and empathy for them. None of it makes sense right now, I wish I had answers to why our sweet children can't have it any easier. I know Josh has had so many obstacles to deal with, that many of your dreams for him have been shut down. I think that some part of us - no matter how small - will always grieve over the loss of these dreams. I am praying very hard for you tonight that God will lead you in the perfect path towards figuring out your latest dilema. No matter the decision, it will be the right one. I am thinking that even if he did have to wear the helmet, it would probably be harder on you than Josh, that he would perservere no matter the circumstance. With your precious love and parenting - nothing can't be handeled. Thanks for being there.... Love, Natalie

Renee and Family,
I found your site through some family friends (the Sleeth Family) and have been following for sometime. You both are amazing parents. When I found your sight I was surpised to see that I already "knew" your family. We are also a Longbranch Family and I have seen your family at many school functions. Our youngest child will be finishing at LBE this year. Your lasted journal entry broke my heart. I hope only the best for all of your children and I know that Josh will be amazing at handling this lastest challange. I understand how your heart breaks everytime a new challenge is given to Josh. My daughter started to lose her eyesight 3 years ago and is legally blind...everyday I wish I could "fix" things for her. I to remember how things used to be...the old Emilee. Not that she has changed much but we are still getting used to the new "normal". You inspire me. Thank you for sharing your amazing children with everyone.

I am a member of the heart transplant list serve and I saw one of your emails and saw a link to a caringbridge site and decided to check it out. I didn't realize you had so many children. The pictures are adorable, thank you for sharing them. My son's name is Riley and he just turned three, he had a heart transplant when he was 18 months old due to Restrictive Cardiomyopathy. Hi Renee - writing to you in hopes the bugs are out of your home, it is only nice sometimes that everyone shares. I wanted to let you know that we LOVED Rochester and I got a lot of great information, especially from the neurologist. She suspects that the episodes are a form of a migraine...check my site to see the details - but I am so happy to finally get some answers that make sense and that treatments are hopeful. Thanks for giving me the encouragement to pursue my options in Rochester, as we know that Syracuse is really limited with specialized docs with brain tumors. I love that you are such a good advocate for your kids, knowing that you really do know best for them and not stopping when you hit a dead end. You are a great role model for me and I want to say "thanks" for being there - God Bless...Love, Natalie

I was just thinking of you wondering how you all were doing. I am so sorry that everyone seems to have the flu bug! Hi Renee

Wow what a story...what a family! You're children are so

prescious and you are such an awesome mommy. I got

exhausted just reading your journal...I don't know where

you get your energy. I hope you've seen the last of a BK

parking lot for a while. lol

Have a great weekend.

Hi Renee,

Thank you so much for signing our guestbook and the emails. Usually by the time I read them it is late and I am too tired to even respond LOL. I would love any info that might help, I am just so tired of having to fight for everything. HUGS!

I haven't been to your website before, but found it on share the love. My daughter Zoey had an ependymoma. She is now 4 years cancer free. Just thought I would let you and your family know we will be praying for you here in Tennessee.

I love the update's, the pictures, and rest assured will always read them start to finish for it makes my life feel sane, LOL. Plus...when I grow up I want to be like you! I can't wait until it's my turn to wait for my next adoption although everytime I mention it I get looks of insanity from those around me. I hope you found a way to get Nettie to camp. Wish I could have been close enough to take her. We have to cram Maya's chair into the van, but then it is just her and I. Can't imagine having the troops to take places.

Hi guys - I'm glad to be able to read someone else's short novels for a change...ha, ha. You make my head go round and round with all you have to do - my 2 kids are enough for me at this point. I'm afraid if I had any more, I may forget to pick them up, or bring them somewhere, or whatever. I can only imagine how you must be able to balance so many things... I hope to meet up with you tomorrow. Take care and God Bless - Love, Natalie

Thank you so much for the message you left on my daughter’s CaringBridge web site about how we bereaved parents still have value. Although (like I have felt) we sometimes feel like we are not useful or welcome because we are a sad reminder that, yes, children do die.

Your perspective is helping me in my search to find another one, a better one. I NEVER thought of myself as an inspiration to anyone.

I think what you are doing on this Caringbridge is fantastic. God Bless you.

Dear Renee,
Thank you so much for your kind words and prayers. Life can sometimes be so complicated especially for children who are unique in their own way, its heartwarming to know that others understand what I am feeling. You have a beautiful family. Again thank you.
