Caitlin Taylor Gunn

On October 10, 2002, Caitlin was diagnosed with a rare inoperable brain tumor called a Diffused Pontine Glioma. The tumor is located in the pons area of the brain stem. The brain stem is a very critical part of the brain that controls vital functions like breathing, coordination, chewing, and swallowing. Children with this type of tumor get a poor prognosis.

Caitlin went through six weeks of high energy photon radiation, a kind of external radiation that zooms in on the tumor while leaving healthy tissue alone. A MRI on January 21, 2003 showed 75% reduction in enhancement (cancer). I found out about a non toxic treatment called Protocel that gave Caitlin great results. Caitlin had been fighting hard and just had enough. On February 8, 2004, Caitlin decided it was her time to become an angel.

Wow!! I forgot to update the journal. Preston Joseph is here! I am about two months late. Sorry!!

He was born December 25, 2006 at 11:40am. He weighed 8 lbs, 3 oz and was 20 inches long.
