Hi everyone I know it's been a while but things have been really crazy around there. Eric's doctors believe that the right kidney does not work but is holding urine causings infections UTI's. He has had three within a few weeks of each other. They are talking about going in and removing the kidney. Eric is having spells where he will just stare almost like he's not even in his own body. You can call his name and yell his name it does not matter he won't answer and he does not hear you. His ADHD doctor and his peditrician (sp?) believe that because of the kidney failure that it is getting to the point that there are to many toxins in his body. His ADHD doctor said that the part of the brain he has lost he don't know if we can get it back but if we don't do something know he's going to keep loosing more. The two doctors are going to call his Kidney specialist in Vermont and tell them what's going on and that they believe it's time to do peritineal(sp?) dialysis. We have been told that they believe these moments he is having when he is spacing out I guess you could call it that they are some form of seizures caused by the toxins in the body. We also have been told that at NO TIME ARE WE TO LEAVE ERIC ALONE. HE CAN NOT BE LEFT ALONE NO MATTER WHAT NOT EVEN IN THE HOUSE IN A DIFFERENT ROOM. The doctor is afraid that the spells may get worse. The other day Eric road home with me from Mom & Dad's house and on our way home he says to me; " Aunt April is there something wrong with my brain?" I asked him why he would think that or ask me that question. He told " sometimes I catch myself talking like a baby or acting like one then other times I catch myself playing with baby toys. I don't know how it happens. So is there something wrong with me?" I knew the answer but how do you tell him there is something wrong with his brain and he may never get back what he has lost and that it may get worse??? How do you look a child who is almost like your own in the face and tell him this??? I didn't have the heart to tell him, I couldn't tell him.. This has been bothering me so much because I know he wants so badly to be like the other boys and girls he sees everyday.

Well some good news now. Eric was excepted for Make A Wish. He's going to get a wish!!!! He's so excited and can't wait. He meets with the wish granter the 16th of this month.

Please keep Eric in your thoughts and prayers he needs, he needs all that he can get. I'll try to update as soon as we hear anything from the doctors.
