Steve Tode
Us in Maui, Hawaii on May 20, 2007 celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary (6/1).
"Every day in our lives there is a fork in the road and you can pick life or you can pick death"
"What lies before us and what lies behind us are small matters compared to what lies within us."
R.W.Emerson
"Please God watch over and protect Steve in 2005"

I created this web site to keep family and friends updated on Steve's condition. As you know, my wonderful husband Steve was diagnosed with ALL- Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia- in May 2001 at the young age of 27. He began induction chemotherapy and went into remission just after 4 weeks. He then endured 2 years of chemotherapy (like a champ) and finished his treatment in May 2003! Then in early November from a routine CBC we got the horrible news that he had relapsed. Steve once again started chemotherapy and achieved another remission within 4 weeks of treatment. He received an Allogenic Matched Unrelated Donor Transplant at MD Anderson Cancer Center on May 14, 2004. We are grateful for all of our friends and family who have been supporting us through this very hard time. We are also so very thankful to Steve's wonderful Donor for his unselfish gift of life!
PLEASE HAVE A HEART AND POSSIBLY SAVE A LIFE...BECOME A BONE MARROW DONOR TODAY!

Remember to sign Steve's guestbook so that we know you dropped by...

I believe. I believe in the sun even when it is not shining. I believe in love even when feeling it not. I believe in God even when God is silent.
This poem was found on the walls of a cellar in Cologne, Germany, where Jews hid from the Nazis. Holding onto belief when everything around you is crumbling takes inner fortitude and a belief that life extends beyond the narrow limits of our personal existence. It is important for one to believe when faced with the most grim of circumstance that God, goodness, and love persists.

Please continue to pray for Steve's healing and comfort Let him know that you are thinking about him Thank You so much!

Journal
Wednesday, January 13, 2009 1:54 PM CST Wow...it has been forever since I have used this web site...
I have decided to keep it on-line although I do not post anymore and most of you who have been (or had been) following us knows that. I am going to keep around JIC anyone who finds it can be supported, comforted, or helped by reading about Steve's courageous battle with Leukemia and a bone marrow transplant. I hope my journals about Steve's incredible fight helps someone who continues to battle cancer. If you are reading this journal because you or someone close to you has been diagnosed with Leukemia, feel free to e-mail me for any questions you may have. I understand how devistating and hard this battle is and I would love to help in anyway possible.
Keep up the GOOD fight!
