Wednesday, June 11, 2008 11:18 PM CDT Can I tell you about one of the most incredible blessings we've experienced? A family retreat that focuses on people like us who have experienced the path of a kiddo with cancer.

We were given a wonderful opportunity to go to the beautiful community of Seaside, FL and found that the love and beauty of the people who volunteered to help host 10 families for this retreat was even more incredible than the scenery. There just aren't sufficient words to describe the rich gift that this organization offers but restoration and reconnection with loved ones certainly must be part of the description.
I don't know if there will be names or even captions on the photos on their website but my prayers will include this wonderful group of people - every single one of them - for their generous, hard-working hearts' gifts to our family.
We were also blessed to meet other families with whom we have 'common ground' and wow, such incredible people and such amazing warriors!
For other families who need healing within their family, consider going to the Lighthouse. You won't be disappointed and the blessings will overflow.
Thank you, Melinda. Thank you, Lord, for touching the lives of such incredible servants and for healing so many hearts and homes.
