RICKY WAS BORN WITH SEVERE COMBINED IMMUNE DEFICIENCY ,ALSO KNOWN AS "THE BOY IN THE BUBBLE" DISEASE.THESE CHILDREN ARE BORN WITH NO IMMUNE SYSTEM LEAVING THEM VULNERABLE TO ALL INFECTIONS.IT AFFECTS ABOUT 1 IN 500,00 BABIES AND IS OFTEN FATAL IF NOT DETECTED EARLY. Hi everyone...
Sorry its been such a long time between updates.. I'm going to make this one short and sweet...
Ricky is doing wonderful, he is now in First grade and doing great... he's making new friends, learning new things and enjoying being in school and riding on the bus!
As far as health goes..he's been doing really good with that as well..a few colds and ear infections but nothing out of the ordinary... he's sailed thru all of that like a champ!THANK GOD!
