Hi Kaylee, Hunter decided to be the Red Power Ranger and Cassidy decided to be a Diva. Their costumes are really cute and they are totally looking forward to Halloween. Next Sun. the 17th they are going to "Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween" at the Magic Kingdom where they can go trick or treating, ride the rides, see a Villain parade as well as the characters dressed in their Halloween costumes. Hi Kaylee, my name is Emily. I am 5 years old and have cancer also. I was diagnosed October 2003 with Wilms tumor stage 1 favorable histology. I completed my 6 months of treatment in Feb 2004. Then in June 2004 I had a relapse and it came back real bad in my right lung. I am doing chemo and radiation hoping to kill it. They can't do surgery because it is to risky. I wanted to share my story with you so you knew that you are not alone. Sometimes I feel like I am all alone. I wanted to tell you that I am so happy that your cancer is gone and you are doing well. I will pray that you will always be like that.

Hi Kaylee and Tammy! I just wanted to thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. I am writing from Sydney, Australia. My daughter Katie was diagnosed with a Stage 3 Wilm's Tumour (favourable histology) on 6th October 2003 - 2 weeks after her 4th birthday. I felt a big lump, which took up the right side of her tummy, when she came in for a cuddle that morning. The tumour had extended into a major blood vessel so we had to wait three months (to shrink it with chemo) before surgery - which she came through amazingly well. We have almost it made through six months of treatment (last chemo on Tuesday 13th April - yaay!) with the help of wonderful friends and family. Your website also helped alot (even though I still cry every time I read it) and gave me hope and strength when I needed it. Katie is doing really well at the moment though we've had our up's and downs as you could well understand. So all the best for a "Happy Easter", a season to celebrate new life and new beginnings! It's great to hear how Kaylee is thriving. God bless.

I like the pictures of you and Jingles what a nice picutre. We have 10 cats all together ourselves. Cats are pretty fun and can be so lovable. Some of ours act like dogs. We also have two horses and 2 dogs.
Our 3 year old grand daughter Olivia has been diagnoised with Wilms, stage 5, with Unfavorable histology, she lives with us and so we are the care givers. I just found this site and think it is great that everyone has so much documented in order for others to see what they may be facing. It is a rough road it looks for all. Just the fear is overhwelming. Somedays do you feel that all this can't be real and your in a bad dream and need to wake up? And then others it is all devastating and you lose all hope.
Do you have other children and did you have them tested?

Tammy called me on my Birthday, February 20th and told me the news of Kaylee. My heart sunk especially since I had just had my first child just 6 months earlier and knew that any mother would much rather die than have anything happen to her child. I only wish that there was something that I could do for Tammy and Kaylee, so I did the only thing I could and prayed. I haven't stopped praying for Kaylee and her family and I am glad to hear things are looking good so far. I wish I would have known about this website earlier but I am glad it is here so I can easily check up from now on. Go get 'em, girl! You are such a cutie! My husband found your web site just recently, as his morning rituals include visiting web sites of children diagnosed with Wilm's Tumor. Our Savannah (now 5) was diagnosed in Dec 2000...stage 2/unfavorable. We've had some bumps in the road, but on the positive side, she kept to her regimen without hardly any delays...and in the past two months she is looking much more like herself...and feeling much more like her old self (funny to think that a child could have an "old" self). We have met many wonderful families and become friends with strangers through the fight against this beast.

Sorry I haven't written in a while but the disease I have makes it so I can't sit too long. I am very proud of you for being brave and strong through all you have to go through. Someone told me once that they could see two angels holding me up to help me when I hurt - I know there are angels holding you up too!

Kaylee - Guess what we have now in our "animal house" - little baby chickens! There are 7 of them in an aquarium in the same room as we have that pug puppy (Homer). Hopefully, you will feel good enough to come up this coming weekend and see them!
I hear you are going to the zoo! I love looking at all the animals and this time of year there are sometimes lots of baby animals too. I'd like to hear all about it when you come up again (Tam - just a note - I saw on a news show the other day that there is a lot of bacteria on the fences and and gates at petting zoos that are making kids sick. You might want to take some anti-bacterial wipes with you when you go.) Kaylee - you stay happy - you are such a good, strong girl- Those angels around you are working hard to help you! I just wanted to send you, your wife, and Kaylee best wishes for a continued recovery. My sister-in-law was diagnosed middle of last year with lymphoma and I can relate (on some level) with your journey. My nephew is five, so things were very emotional for a while. I'm happy to report, however, that she's finishing her last radiation treatment (after going through 7 months of chemo) in the next couple of weeks. We did the annual Relay for Life and were proud to be a part of this great event. We plan on making it a family outing each year!
