Hello everyone!

ItÂ’s obviously been a while since our last update. My how time flies when you actually have to do things like cook, clean, drive yourself around and, oh yeah, go to work. I think Ben has adjusted to us being back in New Jersey better than anyone. His feeding schedule has stayed the same and heÂ’s doing great sleeping through the night in his own crib.

A brief recap about our first week back home: Monday was full of activities like unpacking, laundry, grocery shopping, paying bills, etc. Why did we leave Bogota? Tuesday Ben witnessed his first softball game, and was also presented with a team jersey in 3-6 months size. Not to be left out, big sister Brianna also received a team jersey. WeÂ’ll try and get a picture up on the web soon. On Thursday, Ben had his first appointment with the pediatrician here in the US. All was well, but we were told to make sure he eats more. This Friday, the people at my work had a surprise shower for Benjy. I was supposed to go to a meeting (which aroused no suspicion on my part), and when I walked into the room, there was Shelly, Ben, Brianna, and about 50 of my colleagues. The outpouring of support was very touching. Not to be outdone, Shelly the surprised me again by throwing a surprise birthday party at our house after work.

As if that didnÂ’t make the weekend busy enough, ShellyÂ’s parents flew in on Saturday afternoon. ItÂ’s great to begin to show off Ben to the family. Grandma Marla and Grandpa Don are the first in a long line of excited family members to meet him. WeÂ’re all looking forward to continuing this great process over the rest of the summer.

We hope you all had a great motherÂ’s day, especially our close friends who are experiencing it for the first time through the wonderful gift of a FANA child.
