Eagan, Minn. (Aug. 17, 2011) —
CaringBridge, a Minnesota-based nonprofit providing free patient websites that connect people experiencing a significant health challenge to their family and friends, recently hired Stuart Shwiff as corporate and foundation giving officer. In this new role, Shwiff will help CaringBridge fulfill its mission by building a comprehensive national charitable corporate partnership program, ensuring companies nationwide are provided opportunities to engage with CaringBridge.
Shwiff has 21 years of corporate marketing, sales and business development experience. His past roles include regional director of corporate development at Community Health Charities of America, vice president of development at Community Health Charities Minnesota, and senior director of development at Children's Cancer Research Fund.
"We are excited to have Stuart join the CaringBridge team," said Carolyn Egeberg, vice president of development, CaringBridge. "His knowledge and expertise will help us build a successful program for companies to engage with the mission of CaringBridge and help us continue to bring people together when health matters most."
Personal CaringBridge websites save time and emotional energy by centralizing communication during situations such as cancer, premature birth and serious injury. CaringBridge sites offer a personal and private space to communicate health news, allowing everyone to express his or her feelings and offer support. The websites are made possible because of the generosity of donors.
