TEENA KEEPS ON SMILING SEPTEMBER 2005
Hi everyone, this is our little girl Teena Chantelle Camarata. She was Diagnosed with Wilm's Tumour Stage 2, 2weeks short of Stage 3/4 on the 15th of September 2003 aged 5years and 4 months old, The cancerous Tumor wieghed 1kg and attached to her RH Kidney and attached to main blood arteries, she needed 6 months intensive chemotherapy. She also had a collaspe lung. Like most parents who have children with Wilm's Tumour or anything to do with the BIG C word, the questions are asked and your emotions are played with. Below is a photo of Teena just months before she was diagnosed. The reason why this is, is because you are looking at a healthly, gorgeous little girl with so much joy and laughter in her life that you think this would never happen. BUT IT DID. And our world began to change.
She is now aged 7years and 4months. Exactly 2years later since we were told of the big C word. Still smiling, nothing would stop her from smiling. She is still full of joy, happiness and gorgeous and now healthy (In remission). She has been blessed from all your Faith and Prayers as it has kept us going. This is Teena NOW!
THANKYOU
Please come in and sign her guest book as we would love to hear from you all. We will reply as Teena always asks has she got e-mail, I might be slow but I will reply.

Journal
Tuesday, May 29, 2007 9:49 PM CDT Hi to all our wonderful families
Well you are probably thinking about time! Well I can say that for myself too. It's been over a year since I have updated the journal but don't worry I have been in to see all the lovely families that keep on keeping in touch on how Teena is going and I say THANKYOU for keeping in touch. What a year it has been, full of Laughter, surprises, grief, happiness and most of all Love...
It started of the end of 2006 when Teena was announced with the Citizenship award over 120 year 3 students and she received it with great honors. Unfortunately at that time I had placed the camera away and when she was announced the shock and surprise I felt, I didn't have enough time to grab it or I would of missed out on her receiving her award, now she is official accepted in the Kalgoorlie/Boulder Council committee, which is a great honor, My daughter as a policitian, well time will tell!!
Teena and her Brother Salvatore had done the First Holy communion and her Sister Angela did her Confirmation, most of the families came from Perth for this special occasion and they all looked like ANGELS, checkout the photo's in the album. We had a massive Lunch and lots of catching up, and another family friend did her communion on the same day we had a party for 50 guest wow what a day.
One month later, after all this excitement and joy my Grandfather, which is the kids great grandfather passed away, he was 92 years old and lived a fulfilled life with his family. I was his favourite granddaughter so it did hit hard also for my family especially Teena as we used to see them all the time we made a trip to Perth. That was our special time together but very fortnate that I took the kids to Perth for a week Holiday, 2 weeks prior to pop passing away Which was a relieve for me as all the kids got to see him.
Teena is still dancing which she absoulutely adores (a dancing politician??? only joking you need a laugh) The kids all keep me busy with after school activities as all mums know. But Teena is a home body when she doesn't want to go out she won't. So we do argue. She makes a piont out that she is old enough to stay home on her own especially now she reached the age of tender 9, yeah right!!! I keep telling her but that's cool, she does settle down 10 mins later because she does become hungry. Aren't they gorgeous at 9, they enjoy pushing buttons, and see how far they can push. Teena'a appetite has increase dramatically, she loves her food and going though the rough time in her life she couldn't even look at food. well she doesn't do bad now, but the growth spurt it hitting sky rocket, no complaint that a awesome sign.
I have been busy with my business Cake Decorator, which keeps me going full time and Teena is my taste bud girl and Angela is my Helper and the boy no way---- playstation please, The girls enjoy the beautiful cakes that go out, and they keep on changing there minds what cake they want for there birthdays and wedding> I laugh "wedding" I say " you need to finish school and have a job before even thinking of a wedding cake", They laugh back and say " oh duu mum" the new saying in the household I don't even think I spelt it right. Teena's birthday was great she didn't want anything big she invited 4 friends over, then went to the movies and one of her friends slept the night. To Teena that kind of party is more meaning full to her that a party of 10-15 kids (see photo's)
I think that's been the most important thing I had to mention on what's been happening... oh I nearly forgotten
TEENA IS ON ONE YEAR CHECKUP......HOORAY....HOORAY
To all the families we are thinking of you all, all the time, I do reply as soon as I can, please be patient I do eventually get there, even if it is 2.00am
Take Care, God Bless, and Keep Smiling All our Love
Josie and Family
